The Adventurers was a Free Company operating in the Disputed Lands.

History:

In 56AC, the Adventurers were in the Disputed Lands, fighting a Tyroshi host commanded by the Archon of Tyrosh. The Adventurers found themselves caught between the Tyroshi on one side and a great fire fanned by strong winds and fed by dry grasses on the other. Most of the mercenaries ultimately choose to die fighting rather than burn alive. Not a single man of the Adventurers survived the slaughter.

Upon hearing of the great fire ravaging the Disputed Lands, Ser Myles Smallwood suggested that the missing Balerion had caused it, but King Jaehaerys I Targaryen was skeptical.
