Hippocras is a commonly produced alcoholic drink found throughout Westeros. It is said to be made from wine mixed with sugar and spices, most notably cinnamon, and possibly heated. Highgarden was known to produce a fine sweet variety of the beverage. It was noted multiple times in A Feast for Crows as a drink of choice for Cersei Lannister. Hippocras is also rumoured to have health benefits such as aiding in digestion.

Production

Hippocras is made by steeping spices in sweetened wine for a day. It is then carefully strained and served in a flagon. When prepared, it is stored in large wooden casks for ease of access and transportation.
