Avouyier

( sounds like A Vow Year)

The Only living daughter of Staiyong Blackwood and Alyssa IceMPyre, Avouyier was tall and voluptuous at 15 years of age.

Her father, Staiyong had mixed heritage, from a Blackwood father and a mother from Narth.

Features

Dark skin and almond eyes. Black hair and full lips with great cheekbones.

Born with the sight, Avouyier is a warg, a skin changer and a House scandal. Her mother chose a man from the Blackwood House. This made Avouyier an outcast amongst her kin. They kept the bloodline pure or married from a prestigious. The Blackwoods were considered a step down. In there line were marriages to Targaryens, Velaryons and Daynes, Houses and Names of Prestige. Avouyier was seen as lower born than her cousins, not a bastard, yet treated like one.

Her sigil was quartered with her Blackwood and IceMPyre heritage.

Her title as an outcast is an understatement. A warg received mixed reactions even among this magical lineage. Through the mind of this warg spoke the One True Voice of the Phoenex. Many devout worshippers of the IceMPyre god, revered Avouyier. Many, not all...some viewed her as nothing more than a charlatan. A fraud or worse...

Family

Her mother's house is split in two factions. Half follow the Darkling King and worship the Dark Phoenix. The other half worshipped the the Light Phoenix and were subjects of the Light King. Avouyier and her mother, Alyssa believed in the Light.

Religion

The Light Phoenix represents the new beginnings of House IceMpyre. Attempting to usher the house into a new direction, he instructs Avouyier in the ways he wishes the house to go. He has chosen her to be interceptor: to communicate his vision for the future.

Old gods

Due to her First Men blood through her Blackwood father, the talents of the old gods lie within her.

This Lady is a warg and a greenseer. The weirwood net is hers to access, keeping in touch with the Singers of renown, the Children of the Forest.

A face changer, when communicating with the Light Phoenix, her features transform. She becomes one with her deity. An ominous glow is emitted from within, filling her eyes with warm light. It is said that her body elevates from the ground when her consciousness connects with the Lord of Flames.

Avouyier also could speak with the singers of the forest and claimed them to be the Old gods and the Great Other. As you could imagine this caused a rift between her and of her father's house. So she stays among her maternal family. A black sheep on either side. Some from her house say she is manipulated by the Great Other and may have never been in with the Phoenex.

Here's what we know... Her visions come true, depending if you believe the interpretation. And with this comes the stigma of a sorcerer or woods witch. Those who believe her prophesies and hate her, say she first caused the circumstances and then reported the inevitable outcome. Others say she is the True Voice of the Phoenex. The houses are not split evenly. from either house either love her or loathe her almost enough to spit at her feet. There is NO in between. If there is, they remain silent.

Love

She is the intended wife of the Light King. Though many refuse to acknowledge her as their Queen. It is rumored that she is shared between brothers. Future wife to one and lover to the other, she is part of their inner circle. Their conversations are never heard. The brothers have their unique connection and she uses her abilities as a greenseer and a skinchanger. All communication is silent, as they share a telepathic connection.

Governess

From a political standpoint the Union of the Light King to Avouyier benefits him. As the only female to share a connection with the Light Phoenix, if she ever divulges any unsolicited information to anyone outside the house or approved counsel Avouyier can be named a traitor and sent to the the cells to await execution.

There is no love between them. The kings heart belongs to another woman.

The Darkling King, though connected to his brother, does not share his lack of affection for Avouyier. He enjoys his time with his lover and would have taken her to wife if not otherwise betrothed.

Hobbies

A child of nature, she prefers the gardens to balls and tourneys. Men will always fight, she thought. She felt no Ned to see them practice. Instead she prefers experimenting healing with herbs and roots.

Mistrust

Though she respects the healing Maesters provide, she distrusts their influence. The Light Phoenix alone is her guide and she does not adhere to the advice of the grey whispers. And she avoids their medical remedies.

The learned men see her as an amateur, not a real healer, closer to a woods witch. This attitude is the major reason for the lack of trust the Light King has for his future wife.

Each side has good reasons for their position. In Avouyier's eyes, no one that knows as much about killing as they do about healing should be trusted. And from the Maesters perspective, she floats while glowing and supposedly contracting god... :smirk: usually barefoot and dressing like an island child. :anguished: They don't know what force controls her, if any... perhaps it's all a glamour..?

There will always be contention with the soon to be wife and husband. He looks down upon her. He had hoped to marry of a nobler line. Now, his wife would be two steps from being a mere Wildling. She was a Lady in name only. She very seldomly wore silk stockings or gowns. Always found tilling the earth or grinding some lead or mushroom. And the common folk think no higher of her. The singers say

:notes: Never to late to wed the Lord

Never too old to marry, nye

Bring him your washer and your stooge

End of they day, they're marry too

He found a twinkling in his eye

He'll wed his woodland fool :notes:

Even still, the union is part of the new beginning. The lines of IceMPyre had been so selective in the past to ensure that their magic continued. That's why House Velaryon, Targaryen and Dayne were so essential. And .... the Blackwoods as well. Their magic endures and they must possess in their house, in their lineage. The Royal line has to have First Men magic if they are to keep with our lord Phoenix.
