I was just thinking about a Varys quote from season 2/A Clash of Kings and how it may hold merit now.
The quote goes:
“In a room sit three great men, a king, a priest, and a rich man with his gold. Between them stands a sellsword, a little man of common birth and no great mind. Each of the great ones bids him slay the other two. ‘Do it,’ says the king, ‘for I am your lawful ruler.’ ‘Do it,’ says the priest, ‘for I command you in the names of the gods.’ ‘Do it,’ says the rich man, ‘and all this gold shall be yours.’ So tell me – who lives and who dies?”
The king is Tommen, crown, and the Lannisters.
The priest is the High Sparrow.
The rich man is House Tyrell.
Tyrion then says it's the sellsword, but Varys says, "If the power lies with the men who carry swords, why do we pretend that kings hold the power?"
He says who ever casts the biggest shadow hold the power – “power lies where we think it lies.”
Just something to think about, who really holds the power? Who really casts the biggest shadow? Is this foreshadowing anything?
Thoughts?

It's a trick a very small man can make a very huge shadow. Do you remeber those words?
I do!
Power resides where men believe it resides..it is pointed for sellsword..it is up to him what he think..what he gain..which side he shud choose..go for money? For god? Or for kings law?
1.Just like bronn who always look for money that's why he lannisters,
2.barriston n unsullied tho they r not sellsword but obey the rules and regulation. I.e king/queen
3. HS army who believes in faith. I.e priest
So its upto the sellsword, what he believes in:- money, kings law, faith..
Yes, all great points!
A very small man can casts it. Now, who is the very small man? 🤔

Lol no worries at all! I like the input! I agree, but I also think it's foreshadowing the demise of those mentioned and a little ironic. All these people mentioned will have no power at the end of all this and Little Finger - someone who doesn't/didn't have much compared to them - will cast and has cast the largest shadow in Westeros and the show. Just a thought!
