Episode 2 of Game Of Thrones has wrapped and It is time for the reviews of course.

The Good

Cersei Rallying The Troops

Queen Cersei rallying from various Houses to help her in the fight against Daenerys. I was hoping they would show her doing this instead of just having her with an army glad they did. We see her talk of Daenerys burning people alive and Nailing people to crosses. The sad thing about this is usually when people do Propaganda they have to make things up yet everything Cersei said about Dany was the truth. You know you have to re evaluate yourself if your enemies dont even have to make up things about you to use as propaganda. So the question is is it propaganda if it is true?

Ned Starks Bones At Rest

This is a good change I like from the books of course we have no Idea where Neds bones are in the books yet we see on the show Neds bones are at rest in his statue in the Crypts.

Arya Heads Home

Arya Stark snaps out of solider mode once she hears about Jon taking Winterfell back and proves she isnt a psychopath just a girl lost and now she is going home. Hopefully she runs into Gendry on the way there.

Tyrion Learns Of Jon

I have a hard time believing that Varys didnt know about Jon being crowned King in the north or any of that and while Tyrion didnt question how Jon a sworn brother of the Nights watch as far as he knows is now King but I guess you have to roll with plotholes at this point. Tyrion of course formed a quick bond with Jon and vouches for him.

No more Obara Sand

Euron takes out Obara Sand with her own spear. Now of all the Sand Snakes Obara is the most annoying in books and in the show. I felt like the actress was a Michelle Rodriguez rip off and Im glad she is gone. Were we supposed to feel sorry for the Sand Snakes?

Return of The Hot Pie

Hot pie returns when Arya visits the Inn he works at and he delivers the Pie that was promised. I liked seeing him back for this short scene he seems to be doing well at the Inn. I was disappointed there was no mention of the Gravy though.

Billy Bones!!!

I was really excited to see Billy bones on Game Of Thrones. Of course the actor Tom Hopper is from Black Sails and I was happy Dickon was recast he didnt seem like a warrior in Season 6 just a spoiled teenager. With that being Said Im not sure Dickon Tarly is supposed to look older than Sam considering Sam was pushed to the Nights Watch so Dickon the youngee brother could inherit.

The Bad

Still No Ghost

We should really start putting up missing posters for Ghost. All the CGI budget used on Terrible looking Dragons why? Has he been seen since Jons resurrection in Season 6?

Qyburns Super Weapon

Qyburn talks about a super weapon something that will Kill Dragons and when we finally see this Dragonslaying device it is..... A Fucking Crossbow. Seriously this is your great weapon? You brought a man back from the dead for fucks sake they kicked you out of thr Citadel for weird expierments and the best you can do is a Big Crossbow? I was expectinf some elabortate device some Wildfire somethinf better than a big crossbow. Btw is this a hobbit rip off? Isnt this basically the same thing used to defeat Smaug in the Hobbit movies? Really running out of Ideas arent you D&D. If I was Cersei I wouldve fired his ass on spot for this bullshit.

Sand Snakes Bickering

Why do we need a Scene where The Sand snakes are fighting amongst themslves? Why are we wasting precious time on this bullshit.

Yara and Ellaria

Of course the 2 bisexual characters have to be interested in one another if course we have to get more lesbian scenes why waste time of character development when you can have two girls kissing?

Sam, Greyscale, and Jorah

Everyone loved this scene right? I feel sorry for anyone eating while watching this especially if youre eating a Pot Pie. There is no reason for these cuts from food to something disgusting only reason they are doing it is because they got complaints over Wart cock and assfinger last year. Now I dont have a problem with Sam curing Greyscale although I always thought the whole point of Joncon and Jorah having it was so it would spread doesnt look like it is going to happen. I do have a problem with thr plotholes in all of this though Jorah Has touched Dany numerous times while infected but she has no greyscale he touched Tyrion no greyscale I think he even touched Daario and as far as we know no greyscale. Its contagious D&D it spreads from touch. Also how did the Guy who invented the cure from Greyscale die from Greyscale?

Grey Worm and Missandei

Talk about a total waste of time. Honestly I didnt even watch this scene I saw them start to get undressed and I went to fix myself a Drink I could not be less interested in bullshit like this. 13 episodes to fit 2 1500 page book plots but they have time for this? We couldve seen Bran having a vision or something important other than A pointless Sex Scene.

Fuck Theon

You promised you would protect Yara and have her back always at first sign of trouble you jump ship seriously fuck off Theon. You are Not Ironborn you are not a Greyjoy.

Olenna Tyrell

I have said before I have no idea why people like Olenna Tyrell. Here we have Olenna saying everyone is Westeros are sheep and the deaths of thousands of innocent people arent important no wonder she is ing Daenerys. We have her give Dany the worst possible advice to give a Targaryen especially one drunk on power which is ignore your advisors. Now I have been saying for years Dany is mad she is only going to bring destruction etc. And here we are Dany about to attack Westeros being told to ignore the advice of the people trying to reign in her madness. I think clearly this was a Quaithe like role for Olenna and this is just proof Quaithe is terrible for Dany and that Quaithe will never appear in the show again.

Plot Armor

Clearly Euron Greyjoy was in Braavos recently and he found Aryas stab proof invisible armor. He was stabbed several times but his Plot Armor kept him going. I mean Arya and Euron are stab proof Dany is fireproof sometimes I need a 100 proof to watch this show.

On The Fence

Arya And Nymeria

The scene itself was great I loved the pack circling Arya and Then Nymeria behind her. I felt this was more Fan Service than anything else tho. I will do a separate posts clearing up some misconceptions about this scene and what it represents.

Euron Greyjoy and The Attack

Anyone who knows me knows I am a massive Euron Greyjoy fan in my top 5 characters. I have been waiting to see Euron finally act on the show and show people why book readers say he is the most evil character of them all. When I first watched the episode I was excited I was amped however on my second watch it went away very quickly. Now Euron was way too over the top they are trying so hard to make him the Menacing Villian he is in the books but not succeeding. He came off more as a Joker type than Euron. Euron is supposed to be a great warrior but I doubt he laughs mancially at everything. He was like Jack Sparrow meets The Joker in these scenes. I am hoping that we get some Forsaken material coming up with Yara being captured but I wouldve preferred it be Theon. Now the scene of the Silence coming through the Storm and Eurons arrival was great just wish he wasnt Joker laughing.

The Mad Queen Is Coming

Clearly we are seeing the madness being teased in Daenerys. We have Tyrion mentioning Queen of the Ashes a nod to the Mad King and Dany being told to not listen to advice and other references coming from Olenna and Varys. It is clear Dany is going to start down the Aerys road and just I told you so. Also Tyrion betraying Dany seems more likely now something Ive been saying for years now and no one believed me Can you hear me now? How does the theory look now that Dany has been told not to listen to Tyrion?

Jon and Baelish

I think it is time we talk about Baelish fetish for pissing off Starks. Now when he was a teenager Baelish was almost killed by Brandon Stark, Then in Kings Landing Ned Stark choked him, and now we Have Jon choking Baelish. You would think he learned his lesson by now wouldnt you? Now Baelish tries to talk to Jon in a place he shouldnt be and he of course gets to close and has to choke him out

Of course I have said before that Jon is much more forceful since coming back that the Dragon inside of him is waking and Baelish just was all wrong in this situation. Now it is time to address the elephant in the room.

Baelish Does Not Know About Jons Parents

When the trailer came out and we saw Jon choke Lf every one jumped to Baelish is taunting Jon about his parents because Baelish was smart he could put together Jon was Lyanna son even though he had no idea Lyanna was pregnant. Baelish knows about Jons parents the look he gave to Sansa when she said that Rhaegar raped Lyanna? He knows and Varys Knows and Ashara Dayne Knows and Tyrion and Hot pie knows etc. These people dont have a clue about Jons parents. The only people that Know in the show Are Howland Reed the champion of hide and seek, Bran the tree boy, and Wylla if she is alive. Maybe there is a chance Benjen knows but that is it. In the books it is Howland Reed, Wylla, Bloodraven, and maybe Benjen. Not the Daynes not Illyrio mopatis, not anyone else.
