Hello! Welcome to another blog by me, today I wanted to talk about Sansa. Today is focused on her youth during the first couple of seasons. This is mostly in my words and my thoughts during the show. So if I miss anything up I do apologize! Please be patient with me lol. Writing is not my thing, nor explaining stuff. But I’m going to try. I’ve been wanting to write a blog about Sansa for a while and today is the day. Especially with amino not letting me share my edits either. Let’s begin!

Sansa is seen in a ton of lighter colors when she goes to the King’s Landing. And of course this is where she earned her nicknames. ‘Little Bird’ and ‘Little Dove’. She was young and pure. Not to mention she turned to grey clothes during the episodes when she was abused from the Lannisters. During the show you can see specks of purple on all her episodes. I think that was represented as ‘hope’ for her. Not only that, but she wore this purple necklace during Joffrey’s wedding and one of her stones was taken off and dropped into his drink. Which is why people blamed her for killing Joffrey.

I doubt Joffrey knew the present he gave Sansa had poison in it. And I don’t think Sansa knew either. During her time in King’s Landjng she stuck to soft tone clothes, like grey, blue and pink. Plus that one time she wore olive green when they killed her father off. Green was the best color for her, and she hide from it? But I adored her outfits as she got older.

They looked super uncomfortable when she first got there, I was surprised how she was comfortable wearing long sleeves in the summer? Just glad her dresses got thinner for her. I don’t think many noticed but her outfits did grow more adult like each season. She was growing up faster than she could keep up. She was always seen as innocent it’s why Cersei kept calling her little dove. Dove was pure and innocent, which she then involved into a more politically strategic and hard head woman. She was raised to be a proper girl, never speak out of turn, stuff like that.

Of course it wasn’t easy living with Joffrey, there relationship was hot and cold. One minute he’s a jerk and the next he gets her a gift. Then turns around and murders her father and promises to kill her brothers. He was harsh and horrible to her. When another girl came into the picture (yes my girl Margaery, I still love her!). He immediately turned his back on her and went forward with another person.

This was her chance to get out, but of course who could she trust? She was alone in a cage with lions and killers. I loved her growth, she kept her head high and pushed through. Her strength was inspiring and I can’t see another character willing to go through what she went through. When we first meet Sansa she’s innocent and ready to be a queen/ princess. But she wasn’t ready for the harsh reality.

No one would be, and Sansa stayed strong. Fought not only Joffrey but HIS MOTHER— she survived his mother. Something Margaery couldn’t do. But Sansa did, sure she had help, and she didn’t give up. I wasn’t a fan of young Sansa she was too naive and too optimistic for a marriage with Joffrey. The moment he came onto the screen you immediately felt the uneasy with him. My gut was screaming no at him! Like this horrible person is going to destroy the light in Sansa’s eyes. Of course he only dimmed them, Ramsey destroyed the light while Theon and Jon heal it. But that’s for my next blog!

The reason I wanted this blog, was to talk about the young innocent Sansa. She was inspiring and so young. We should the good in her before we label her as a survivor. Sitting here making this blog, I feel like I could make her a playlist blog like I use to do for Margaery! Maybe I should. Anyway! Thanks for checking in with my rant or random blog. Have a good day!!
