So yeah, I decided to participate in the #DesiredDeath challenge, and I chose to write another ending for Aerys, as well as some others. I hope you enjoy this short blog.

It was silent, in the Great Hall, as Aerys Targaryen sat atop the throne, long fingers running throught his filthy hair with their long, curled nails.

It was tumultuous, in the city, as Tywin Lannister's men sacked the city, killing men, women, and children alike, leaving only few alive.

Somewhere in the city, one could find Ser Jaime Lannister, one of Aerys' White Swords, atop a white stead, with the task to kill his own father, and bring the man's head to his King.

Somewhere in the city, one could find Lord Rossart, Aerys' own Hand, with the task to burn it all.

In the dark, Aerys found himself, crazed, purple eyes glinting, the fires of the Great Hall long since extinguished.

In the dark, Rossart found himself, his knuckles a stark white, as his fingers wrapped themselves around a torch, burning brightly.

With a slight tremor, Jaime raised his blade, bringing it down upon an unsuspecting man of his father's.

For a second, it was silent, as everyone seemed to freeze, listening to this foreign sound.

Jaime's eyes widened, as the city seemed to rumble beneath him, before the streets erupted.

Aerys' eyes widened, as the castle shook, before the Great Hall collapsed with a great burst of fire.

It was tumultuous, for a short moment, as King's Landing was swallowed by the green flames.

It was silent, for long thereafter, at the mouth of the Blackwater Rush, as nothing rose anew, instead remaining ashes.
