King Jon's Small Council

Hello again all! Have been a bit busy lately, but still working on some continuing pieces and plan to have them out soon. In the meantime, I wanted to to participate in this fantastic #MySmallCouncil

King Jon's Small Council-Hello again all! Have been a bit busy lately, but still working on some continuing pieces and plan t

Hand of the King

The hand of the king is possibly the most important position for King Jon, as although I believe he is a great leader, he needs a proper hand to balance him, help him keep his commanders and bannerman informed of WHY he is making his decisions, and also to help him not act quite as brashly in some circumstances. This is no easy feat, but I do believe I have a proper character in mind to fill this position.

I personally think Tyrion performed irably in this position, and he is one of the few characters left in the story who is likely not interested in progressing his house name any further, hence no ambition to wear the crown himself, or place a family member on the throne. He has a deep understanding of politics, history, modern events, and even showed his skills as a battle commander during the battle of Blackwater Bay. Of course, he would have to agree to reduce his alcohol consumption, and we would have to find him the proper woman, so that he would not be whoring around either.

Master of Coin

A difficult position to fill without knowing the financial side of Westeros that well.

So I will go with a popular choice here, and someone who definitely knows what they are doing in this position, Littlefinger. In order to keep him loyal, he gets to marry Sansa.

Master of Laws

We need a stern, yet fair person in this position. Someone who is intelligent and understands politics as well as justice.

Of course Stannis will need to renounce R'hollor and sentence the Red Woman to death for her crimes against humanity. As seductive and intriguing as I find Melisandre, burning people alive is not cool.

Master of Ships

An easy choice here.

Paxter Redwyne, Lord of the Arbor and presently commands the largest naval fleet in Westeros, aside from possibly the Iron Fleet.

Master of Whisperers

Another easy choice, my brother from another mother, literally.

Bran needs some more training with Bloodraven, and Meera needs to stay with them to make sure no funny business occurs. Then we can get rid of Bloodraven who clearly is trying to install a Targaryen on the throne, make peace with the Children, and use Bran's powers for good.

Grand Maester

Although I don't fully know where his loyalty lies yet, I need to go with someone who is not loyal to those scheming Maesters at the Citadel.

None other than Qyburn! This is probably my least sound choice of the bunch to be honest, but I just like him so much.

Lord Commander of the Kings Guard

He may be old, but he is fiercely loyal, tried and tested, even in his old age, and is a constant display of everything a knight should be.

Ser Barristan Selmy. Enough said.

The Kings Guard

In no particular order:

Ser Jaime Lannister

Bonus Section: Queen

I wanted to add one more character to my list, as I find this marriage alliance to be important to the security of the realm...

Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons. She will need to chill with the whole, 'the throne is my birth right' thing, and just be cool with being the Queen, and realize its better for everyone that way. Once she sees how good of a lover boy Jon can be, she will be fine with it, just like with Drogo.

Well that does it for my small council. As for my choices on the Kings Guard, I am assuming that they would all swear loyalty to the crown and would serve faithfully. Hopefully putting Tormund, Brienne, and Jaime together won't cause them to break their vows, or get in a love triangle scenario. Hope you all enjoyed, until next time!

There's only 1 man capable to run the kingdom its Tywin Lannister best hand ever because he was strict

Master of Laws - Stannis Baratheon

Master of ship's - Victorian Greyjoy well better choice than Paxter Redwyne he run away from a fight than face ir

Master of coin- Tyrion Lannister best choice because he did well and didnt bankrupt the realm like that Little Finger Fart

Master of whisperers - has to be Varys know 1 better

Maester- Maester Luwin and Sam i think they would get on great

Sam takes some of hjs jobs that Maester Luwin isn't able to do letters or Ravens

Lord commander of the Kingsguard

- Barristen Selny for some part such as kings council but when there's jobs too hard it would fall to Jaimie to take command

Then there's Brienne of Tarth

The Hound

Thormund

Daario Naharris

Loras Tyrell only because i wouldn't trust Bronn he wouldn't be on the KG council too young and eager

I just don't see Jon ever trusting Littlefinger of Qyburn.

That is a good point. He likely would not trust LF, and would be weary of Qyburn, having no foreknowledge of him. Thanks for the comment!

Lol the kingsguard is fucked up. No one wants a kingslayer and a sellsword and a willdling to protect him. Although i luv them individually

Well Jaime is much more than 'just a Kingslayer' and I personally would want a man capable of his logical reasoning on my kingsguard. As for Bronn, he has shown his loyality to Tyrion, and is one of the best fighters in the Seven Kingdoms. Enough money will keep him loyal enough. Tormund is absolutely loyal to Jon. His temperament may have to be controlled a bit, but that can be done with time.

I'd change the queen to Sansa.

Jonsa is a big no no. Also, that would piss Littlefinger off and he would continue to undermine the throne, and likely try to steal Sansa. Two northerners on the throne would not last long, need some diversity from other parts of Westeros / the World
