Hello Throners,
In this blog I'm gonna try the Misty.
I'm not a person to follow through on resolutions myself, so I've stopped committing to any in the first place.
Of course that doesn't mean I can't lecture others on their bad choices and what to do better :)
Starting from where we left off (you know where that was...), here's what he should do.
Chances are he's not going to listen, but we'll see...

1. Don't let them know
Yes Jon, I'm getting right to the point.
I totally get that you hadn't had sex in a long time and that dragon lady is hot as hell... But as your previous love would have told you: "You ner nuffin Jon Sner"
At least SOME political foresight would have been nice.
The northern lords are just not Targaryen fans. That might have to do with the fact that the last dragon king went mad and brutally killed two Starks and his son ran off with another Stark...
They haven't seen what you've seen and they won't accept Daenerys until they see her barbecuing some dead people, by which point it might be too late.
So it's up to you to convince an already skeptical crowd that this is their queen now. You should come to Winterfell as no more than political allies. What happened the night before should stay on that ship.

...which brings me to my next point:
2. Learn to lie and lose some honour.
Not a very noble resolution, I know, but what Tyrion already told you was right.
When all life is about to be destroyed, all people need to know is how to kill what wants to kill them. And for that they need to be united.
Only a handful of people know the severity of the situation with the army of the dead. The rest will easily get distracted by some gossip about Ice&Fire sexy time, which will definitely not help your cause.
Also consider this: Bending the knee may not have been a great idea in the long run. Regardless of if you defeat the army of the dead or not, you might want to go back on your promise.
Every time a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin.
It seems like Dany's coin is still spinning like that totem in Inception.

3. Listen to your siblings (cousins)
(not the one you missed most, but the other two)
You're not realising it yet, but this war will be fought on two fronts.
Cersei unfortunately isn't that honourable either. You've been in the North all your life and you only experienced King's Landing briefly.
I advise you, no I BEG you, to leave the problem of Cersei to Sansa.
Have a little faith in her. Unlike you, she's in good graces with the northern lords anyway and she's grown as much as you have over the last few years.
You're also going to need the help of Bran (or what's left of him). He's come closer to the Night King than even you and got touched by him.
Bran will have some important information for this war going forward and he's more powerful than you know yet.

the final resolution:
4. Don't try to be the hero
Your last attempt trying to achieve the impossible didn't end so well.
Going for the Night King was the most noble and also the dumbest thing to do.
What did you expect?
The wights won't let you go up to the dude without attacking. And even if you had managed to cut your way through, there still would have been at least two White Walkers in the way. Not to mention, Valyrian Steel probably won't suffice to kill a god-like creature like him.
The biggest reason you're alive now is a great amount of luck and your uncle's sacrifice. I want you to reflect on that.

It seems inevitable that you'll be some kind of hero in this war, but why not do some research first and consult with the people around you?
Then I'm sure everything will work out :)

If season 6 proved anything Sansa has no useful advice. “don’t do what he wants you to do” what the hell is he going to do. “You have to be smarter father and Robb” that’s a lot coming from some who nearly killed her sister and was falling for Littlefinger’s trap.

Jon didn’t alienate his allies. It goes back to what is wrong with season 6 northern storyline. They forced a character into better more important character plot line. And the side effect of that is Jon has to look an idiot when it’s proven Jon is a great diplomat. An example convincing the free folk to him. True he didn’t get all of them and if he time and the white walkers didn’t attack he could have got the rest. Sansa fell for littlefinger’s trap the moment she didn’t tell Jon about the knights of the vale. And they ruined Jon’s KITN scene by having that winterfell court scene where they complained about not making Sansa queen.

You can dislike the storyline if you want, that doesn't make it false- in the show at least. And in the show Jon did those things he did.
The way I see the Battle of the Bastards thing is that Sansa didn't tell Jon, because:
1. Jon didn't really value her input in military discussions
2. (and more importantly) Sansa couldn't be sure LF would keep his word and show up. He could have completely turned against them for all we know about him

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know if he is not coming you still tell him either way. Sansa complained Jon was not asking her opinion she had plenty of time to speak up and say something.
Uncle benjen should get more appreciation.
Agreed
and I thought Jon has nothing to resolve  . but that was because Jon is hell bent on fighting the great war
Don't tell em you nailed the dragon lady? I'm sorry, but if you ever get a little taste of something so far outa your league, you're gonna tell. And any Northman is gonna take one look at the Khaleesi and have a new found redpect for their king in the North! And I'm not sure I share your faith in Sansa. Could be I'm just a hater on that front, so will let it slide. Bran, definitely listen to, but it seems all pertenant convos with him are taking place off camera. Still pissed about Littlefinger, not that he's dead, just how it was done. Great blog, though man! Definitely worthy of 2nd place to my own Brienne resolution
Thanks Fred
If only it worked that way...
I'm just picturing Jon breaking a long and tense silence in the Great Hall with "Come on guys, she's like super hot..."
And then Lord Glover and the Manderly guy being like "Shit, he's got a point tho..."
I actually love the way Littlefinger died, it just didn't have any build-up, as almost everything in Season 7
ah fred, don't hold your breath jusy yet
Agree with some of it but what happens on the boat ain't just a booty call so the Northern Lords can suck a lemon:o
