We scribble things.
:arrow_forward: Welcome to the application! All we have are a few questions for you to fill out, and you can become a *bona fide* Art Club member! We don't have a cool uniform yet, but it's still pretty snazzy.
:arrow_forward: What we do is pretty simple: we participate in the monthly art challenges and we have our own minor art challenges. We welcome all visual art mediums and styles-- from traditional to digital, 2D drawings to 3D animations, comic books to realism. Whatever you do, come do it with us!
Enough rambling from me though. Onto the application.

Be as detailed as you want-- anything from a few words to paragraphs. You'll be accepted either way, but do take time to evaluate your art, and any extra details you have are important so we can help you get better and make the art we know you can make.
:arrow_forward: Art Style & Analysis
:black_nib: Look at some of your work. **Describe the similar elements of your art among a few pieces, or your art style, and what makes it different from other artist's work (e.g. the types of lines you use; if they're thick and bold, or use a lot of sharp edges, if you color things a certain way). If you feel like it doesn't stand out, that's okay too-- your art is still yours, and if you work, it will in time. It's important to know these things if you want to change your style in any way. **Did a certain artist, culture, art movement / type, fandom, or anything else inspire you or influence your style? List them if you want! Looking at what inspires you and your work can help you make art that you like.
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
:arrow_forward: Mediums & Methods
:black_nib: Materials and mediums can also influence your style. **Talk about your process: how do you sketch, what do you use? **What do you use to line and color-- or do you even do those things? That's something you can experiment with later on: using different mediums and methods to draw can change how it looks. It doesn't just have to be sketching and drawing either; do you make clay sculptures, do pottery, paint, animate, or just doodle ( these are called visual arts, by the way. )? If you do any literature arts ( like writing stories, poetry, etc.), audio arts ( like singing or playing an instrument ), or physical arts ( like acting or dancing ), please include them! You don't have to include examples of them, but diversity is a great thing to have as an artist.
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
:arrow_forward: Experience & Progress
:black_nib: **How long have you been drawing? This question is both relevant and irrelevant-- it's nice to know how long someone's been interested in art, but the better question is this: how have you been drawing? **Have you been drawing for a short time but have been progressing pretty well, or have you been drawing forever and felt like you're stuck or feel like you're progressing too slow-- or a mix of those? Art is a skill, and everyone learns at different paces and in different ways. Knowing this can help us help *you* find a good way for you to learn art.
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
:arrow_forward: Subjects & Ideas & Messages
:black_nib: **What do you like to draw? Do you draw people, landscapes, flowers, animals, crocodiles with hats, eboys with freckles *cough*, etc.? **Do you use any symbolism, or any certain objects or reoccurring designs? These things are good to know so you can branch out into other areas or focus in on another, or if you're trying to find a way to get an idea or a story across in your art without saying it directly. Art is about feelings, moods, stories, ideas, thoughts-- anything and everything you make is technically art.
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
:arrow_forward: Motives & Reasons
:black_nib: **Why do you do art? Art is a self expression for some, a job or an escape for others. **How emotionally attached are you to your art? You don't have to say anything that makes you feel uncomfortable if you don't want to, but it's good to know your reasons for art so you can target what rings emotionally with you (or not). **Is there something you want to say with your art? It's also okay if you draw just for fun, or if your only goal is to make money. It's a good thing to know so you can learn the skills you need to do the things you want to and the stories you want to tell.
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
:arrow_forward: Pride & Projects
:black_nib: Confidence in your art and artistic skill is very important, as well as how you perceive your work. **Do you like your art or take pride in it? Is there a certain piece that you're proud of for an indescribable reason? If you'd like to include it or describe it, that's great! If not, that's cool too. It's okay if you don't like your art either-- everyone goes through that at some point or another. **What has been your favorite art piece, project, or creation that you've made? Was it something new you never tried before but were pleasantly suprised with, or something you finally got right after so many tries? **Are there certain things you want to do or try, any plans you have dreamed out or any current projects you're doing right now? The world is your oyster, and there's no limit to what you can accomplish in your artistic adventures.
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
:arrow_forward: Criticism & Advice
:black_nib: We all get critiqued at one point or another, welcomed or unwelcome. **Do you want / like art critique from the club? This, of course, can change from day to day, but critique can be a touchy subject. If no one asks for critique, don't give it-- ask first. As much as you may be trying to help, sometimes it's just best to learn on your own. Enjoy the other person's art as best you can. If you do critique someone, also try to point out things they did well-- critique isn't only negative. **If you could travel back in time to the moment where you started to do art, what advice would you give your past self about art? Art has its struggles and errors, we all know it, so what would you tell yourself so that you could advance in art quicker?
:heavy_multiplication_x: [answer here yo] :heavy_multiplication_x:
And that's it for now. This application may be added to as time goes on, but you're done! *Incredible job!* Make your own version of this post, publish it, and send it to the Art Club Chat. We're looking forward to chatting and scribbling things with you.
