Although I might be a bit late as it goes slowly towards summer, I still wanted to do this challenge as Spring has quiet some energetic quality for me.
What does Spring mean to me?
The best way to describe it for me, is to compare it to a long winter sleep I slowly awake from.
I often suffer from insomnia and sleeping irregularities in Spring but unlike in Winter, I feel my body getting more wake in general again.
Winter is for me a time of total drawback. I barely go outside as I'm very sensitive to the cold. I cannot dress up nice as most winter clothes are thick and not very mergable. I feel a lack of energy by the constant cold (my entire house is heated only by wood, even the water in the bath) and can barely motivate myself to anything.
With Spring, I feel with the first sunny, warmer days, that life returns and that I can begin to live in the outside again.
Symbolically, after death comes the rebirth and this is what Winter and Spring represent very well for me.
Especially as the days are growing longer and the night becomes milder, I feel myself stronger and more in tune with nature and the physical world.
Ostara has no special meaning for me here as I don't celebrate the Celtic Esbats or Sabbats.
Eastern was more the time for me to go out and meet my friends after the winter again as there is always a convention we liked to visit and celebrate our community.
Spring is the time to wake up for me and to get into action regarding what I want to achieve this year. As with plants, what we sow in Spring, we harvest in Autumn. The same applies for our efforts, dedications or plans.
What we plant now, will bear its fruits if we keep nourishing it.
