Different metals have different properties and correspondences.  Do you already use some in your craft?  Are you considering using them in your craft?  In this article I'll be discussing some basic properties and correspondences of different metals that you can use!  Without further ado, let's jump in!

Gold

Gold is associated with the sun and fire.  A star sign associated with gold is Leo.  Some correspondences of gold are: "abundance, wealth, wisdom, energy, purification, love, warmth, prosperity, male-fertility, self-confidence, authority, creativity, longevity, comfort, and increasing power".  Gold can come in multiple forms such as: yellow gold, rose gold, white gold, and champagne gold.

Aluminum

Aluminum is associated with the planet Mercury and the element of air.  A star sign associated with aluminum is Aquarius.  Some correspondences of aluminum are: "air magick, protection against loneliness, joy, and happiness".  Did you know that aluminum used to be more valuable than silver and gold?

Iron

Iron is associated with the planet Mars and the element of fire.  A star sign associated with Iron is Aries.  Some correspondences of iron are: "protection, strength, change, banishing, promoting energy, will power, courage, aggression, winning in a competition, self-defense, new beginnings, and speed".  An interesting fact about iron is that it repels The Fae, so this might not be a go to if you work with them!

Silver

Silver is associated with the moon and the element of water.  A star sign associated with silver is Cancer.  Some correspondences of silver are: "connecting with a past life, femininity, menstrual cycles, female fertility, emotions, lunar magick, divination, intuition, protection from negative energy, and increasing psychic abilities".  One could think of silver as the "other side of the coin" when compared to gold!

Bronze

Bronze is associated with the planet Jupiter and the element of air.  A star sign associated with bronze is Libra.  Some correspondences of bronze are: "enhancing psychic abilities, protection over the self, and protection over one's property".  Did you know that bronze was used by Ancient Egyptians to create weapons and instruments?

Copper

Copper is associated with the planet Venus and the element of water.  A star sign associated with copper is Taurus.  Some correspondences of copper are: "releasing, healing, intelligence, increasing power or energy, wisdom, protection, self-esteem, luck, attracting love and money, beauty, art, and helping with negotiations".  Did you know that copper was one of the first metals to be "worked by man"?
