This is so difficult to answer!! I love Fairies, Dragons, Mermaids... so for this challenge I am going to choose the mythical creature I want to learn most about!
HIPPOCAMPUS
Hippo (Greek for Horse) & Kampus (Greek for Sea Monster)

The Hippocampus is found in Greek mythology. A Hippocampus has the head and front feet of a horse and the body and tail of a fish. Poseidon being the god of the sea as well as horses would use these creatures for transportation - some say he rode them some say they pulled his chariot.

The Hippocampus were deep sea dwellers feeding on the plants at the oceans bottom. These creatures were known to be agile, loyal and graceful. Sailors see thee creatures as a good sign - they save them from drowning, rough seas, even sea creatures!
What we know today as the Seahorse has been given the scientific name Hippocampus! I was just at an event in my city and got to see my very first live seahorse in an aquarium it was amazing!!!
