Hello and welcome everyone! Thank you for ing me today for Day 18 of my personal journey through the #30DaysofShadow challenge. Today's challenge focuses on shadow music. I will list 3 songs and explain why they each represent my Shadow Self. Let's jump in!

My Shadow Music

Song 1:

For this first song, I chose Coming Undone by Korn. I chose this song for multiple reasons. The first reason is that it felt like I was always crumbling and falling to pieces. It felt like it was too late for me to put myself back together after my trauma. I also chose this song because I've struggled with depression since I was a child, which is something I still struggle with.

Song 2:

For the second song I chose Wrong Side of Heaven by Five Finger Death Punch. Like the first song, I chose this song for multiple reasons. The first reason is that I felt I was alone, and I would revel in it. However I wasn't actually happy, I was incredibly bitter. Another reason is that I felt like God had turned from me due to my circumstances at the time. I was disappointed in God and the people who said they followed him.

Song 3:

For the third song I chose Show and Tell by Melanie Martinez. Like the other songs, I chose this song for multiple reasons. The first reason is that I often felt used by others. I felt pushed around and walked all over by those I thought I could trust. Another reason is because I felt like authority had abused my trust in them. Which in turn caused me to be angry at any and all authority.
