For those who may be unfamiliar with Nordic Mythology, it’s lore stems from Germanic and Scandinavian mythology. Before we uncover the 13 Low Key Facts I have for you, let’s take a brief dive into the history of Norse Mythology to have a better understanding of these gods moving forward. ⋆As a polytheistic religion, the Nordic Mythology consists of many gods and goddess you may be familiar with today. Not only were there two factions of Nordic gods, the Æsir and Vanir, but this Mythology is rich in mythological creatures such as giants, dwarfs and more! As one of the oldest faiths it has roots in Denmark, Iceland, Ukraine, England, and even Canada. The Vikings spread the faith all over the world, planting seeds for its future global influence.⋆

⋆As many devoted practitioners as there are to the Norse Gods, it developed into a religion largely recognized as Ásatrú or Vanatrú by the Vikings. While there were variations of the religion depending on your geographic location, it was largely practiced the same. As time went on many Vikings largely converted to Christianity but the love for the Norse Gods never truly left us, as is running strong even today.⋆
