Rayla never meant to get attached, she really didn’t. It had all begun with ing Instagram to post pictures of her prized blades, but soon TheSharedBraincell, had commented.

And Rayla had replied. The two girls formed a strong friendship, and learned a lot about one another. TheSharedBraincell’s name was Claudia, and she had an unidentical twin brother, Soren. She lived in the small town of Katolis, located on the other half of the world from Rayla’s hometown of Xadia, Scotland.

Rayla was there for Claudia when her mother died, allowing the distraught girl to vent through messages and video calls.

Rayla thought that she would be there until the day they planned to go to the same college.

What the teen didn’t expect was for Soren to call her the next day.

“Claudia’s gone missing- dad and I can’t find her anywhere,” the brother choked on a sob.

That was all it took for Rayla to pack a bag and dash to the airport, taking the next flight to Duren, and hiking to Katolis.

“Claudia? Claudia!” She called into the woods, desperately searching for her close friend. Two years they had spent talking to one another.

Rayla never meant to get attached.

Everybody seemed to leave her, and all she could do was crumble before the peaceful face of her friend.

She had died, and Rayla felt a small piece of her heart shatter.

Why did she get attached?
