Dan made me promise everything.

To go to sleep was a promise

So I could stay healthy

lying to dan so he would go to bed without worrying-

To eat well was a promise

So I had enough energy

lying to dan so he would eat everyday-

To take medicine when I was sick was a promise

So I could get better quickly

lying to dan so he would take his meds-

To go out every once in a while was a promise

So I wouldn't be isolated from society

lying to dan so he wouldnt think i was scared-

To stay safe was a promise

So I could live life to the full

lying to dan so he would trust me-

To come home soon was a promise

So I wasnt out late

lying to dan so i could stay out for the rain-

To stop running was a demand

One I couldn't answer,

the traffic was too loud

run, keep going-

To turn back was a demand

One I wouldnt answer,

I was choking on air

forwards, keep going-

To stay off the bridge was a sad cry

One I shouldn't answer,

the water welcoming me

step again, keep going-

To not jump was a desperate scream

One I shall never answer,

my feet now leaving the concrete

falling, keep going. no more promises, keep going. dead, well done.
