how i draw dnp tutorial i guess

so hellow folks, i brought to you a tutorial what no one asked for ! lets get started !!

;so i will do an illustration for my wip dnp comic what is a fantasy medieval au

1.

;first step is doing a light sketch of the pose, its good to have the compostition in your head and kinda what u want to be the final, but always be open to improvistation

;im starting with phil,, he has a long face and very characteristic features

///disclaimer,, if u do realism u always should use references,, but im not using anymore coz at this point i drew them so much i just know the features without photo///

;first i always do the ears

;then the face layout + hairline

;next the face and hair,, i went with a kinda painful expression coz its a tragedy story

;at this point i realised i forgot to put the crown on his face so i redo the hair

3.

;then comes the body. phil has a thin but quite muscular very sharp body,, his shoulders are specifically kinda sharp and mire pop out

; then i changed the position of the left arm so the picture can look more energetic plus added the details of the body,, then the cape

;i recommend always do the body even if u put clothes on the characrer, its help u understand how the clothes will work plus a good anatomy exercise

;also i just drop here a personal opinion if u dont mind;; please stop drawing dnp with the body of 15 year old highschoolers (if its a teen au it okay) ((or if u dont have a realistic style its okay) bcoz they are grow adult mans with as you seen muscles and tummys . yea they are not the most muscular types but yall always thirsting over phils arm and stuff so,,,, just sayin.

;so here comes dan. he is looking down so i needed to do more helping lines.

;i always mess up dans face coz no shade but he has the most generic basic bitch pretty boy face ever with not that much characteristic so its a lot of pain always

(u can see later how much i change his face coz im not happy w it)

;then comes that fluffy af beautiful hair with the crown what i dont forgot this time

5.

;the next is dans body, he is not that skinny and harsch as phil,, more like a soft but hot bear type, so the shoulders are not that pointy and i try to do the body w more flowy soft lines

(also u can see how much i changed his face from the previous one, never stop changing what u dont feel right, never say "oh its okay like this whatever"))

;then i add the details and do something w does anatomy skillz (and fail lol) +the cape

(the face changed again,, im miserable at this

point)

6.

;nextly i did some deg w the capes but drew some flowers in their hands, and added little details like freckles and lashes

7.

;final touches w metallic gold and silver markers and we are basically done w a sketch what one day maybe i will do digitally

((last tip::dont be scared using a little photoshop on it and after effects, it can help a lot))
