Ravio/Traveler/Nuisance.
Ravio could be a person you save from a monster or something then he just tags along (hence nuisance). He's a balanced character, having a bit more power on the defense side though (a tiny-tiny bit more). Ravio seems like a normal companion, nice stats and all but at the end he unleashes this BEAST of a power!
He uses magic for attacking in his beat mode and regular nick-nacks that he had in his shop for attacking normally. He serves as the comedic relief in an othwise serious game. He also uses potions to help his attack and his teammates. Ta-da! :3
I would make him to Miitopia, and that magic stuff seems to fit the role of Mage!
