Activity Three: Crossing the Threshold

Amongst Vietnamese Lunar New Year folklore that is widely practiced, it is believed that the first person to cross the threshold (home) sets the tone for the entire year to come. With the idea that if a lucky or prosperous individual enters first, it will bring good fortune to the household throughout the year.

In this activity, participants will choose a person to enter their home first on New Year’s day! This person can be a celebrity, idol, anime character, best friend, etc, but keep in mind their fortune will be your fortune, so choose someone with great luck! You are required to include an image of this person (do not include an image if it’s a person you know irl) in your wiki and write a minimum of 3 lines on why you chose this person.
