Activity Two: The Legend of Nian

The Legend of Nian”: Long ago in ancient China there was a man-eating beast named “Nian”. To ward off the ancient beast the people decorated their homes with red, yellow, gold, and orange lanterns and wore red clothes.

In this activity, participants will prepare to ward off the beast by decorating their homes with a beautiful lantern. Participants must use the lantern template provided to color with the colors red, yellow, gold, and orange. The lantern must include at least 2 of those colors to be correct.
