Chapter 10 - Redemption

Marco looked at Star, both stunned and confused. After about 5 seconds, Star let go of Marco and looked away with the hearts on her cheeks glowing bright pink. "S-star...why did you-" Marco started but got stopped by Star. "Ever since I left Earth, this small hole of emptiness started consuming me...I never knew what the real reason was but now I think it's quite clear..the only reason why I dated Tom was to forget about you. But now I realise no one can replace you..because I love you Marco Diaz.. more than anyone else.."

Marco looked at Star in awe and grabbed her shoulder. "Star..I feel the same way..don't beat yourself up because you hid that for a long time. To be honest... I've been hiding my feelings for a long time too.." Star looked at Marco and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Marco?" "Yes Star?" "...you wanna...go on a date?" Star asked. Marco went wide eyed but smiled with a small blush. "I'd love to."

~1 Day Later~

Star was getting ready for her and Marco's date when suddenly guards came bursting in "Princess Star!" One of them exclaimed. Star covered herself and blushed in embarrassment "Hey! Haven't you heard of knocking!?" She exclaimed "Sorry Princess but..we have great news! We found your mother!" They all exclaimed back. Star almost stopped covering herself to run to her mother but ed why she was covering herself in the first place. "Really!? That's great but uh...CAN I PLEASE GET DRESSED!?" All the guards rushed out and apologised one by one whilst closing the door. Star sighed "much better."

Star finished getting dressed and immediately ran to her mother who was resting in bed. "Mom!" She cried, hugging Moon very tightly. "Star!" Moon cried softly, while hugging back weakly. "Mom..how badly injured are you?" Star asked "A few broken bones but don't worry about me..go on your date with Marco" Moon winked. Star started blushing "You know about the date?" Moon nodded slowly "word gets around quickly Star..now go on and show Marco a good time!" She exclaimed, kissing Star's forehead. Star smiled at her Mom "I will...I promise"

Marco changed into his usual suit and walked outside to see Star in a beautiful pink dress with flowers going around the skirt. "Wow..you look...beautiful" Marco said in awe. Star's face went red and her hearts started glowing. "Thanks Marco" she said. "Anyway...shall we go?" She asked. "Yeah..let's have fun!" Marco Exclaimed.

~After the date~

Star and Marco were looking at the sunrise in awe with Star's head on Marco's shoulder. "Hey Marco?" Star said. "Yes Star?" "Kneel" Star commanded. Marco didn't hesitate and started kneeling with his head down. "Marco Ubaldo Diaz. We have been through many journeys together, fought so many monsters together, and shared many memories together. I ask this one simple question to you, Diaz...Will you me..and be the future king of Mewni?" Star asked. Marco's eyes opened and he stood up, looking at Star. "I do" he said with joy. "Then you may now kiss your future wife" Star exclaimed before they kissed each other and to begin another journey together as lovers.
