Hey Amino~

So its once again #DWA, which means another part of Te Amo. I hope you enjoy!

Marco fell onto his living room floor, taking in what just happened. Star had pushed him through the portal, back to his home dimension. To hang out with Jackie. He groaned, and slowly got up. "Shh.. I got this. No no, trust me." Marco turned to find his mother holding a baseball bat, and his father right behind him. "Mijo!" Angie said, running to hug him. Rafael did the same after her. "Back already? I thought you were staying on Moonie?" Angie asked. "Its pronounced Mewni. And Star said I should catch up with some school friends." Marco replied. Rafael and Angie exchanged looks. "Well what about Star?" Angie asked worried. "I-I think she wants some alone time." "Well.. Have a nice day Marco." Marco smiled and ran out the door. The second it closed, his mood faded and started walking towards Jackie's house. He texted her, M: "Hey Jackie! Wanna catch up? I got some time." J: "Sure! Let's meet at Britta's Tacos!" M: "Sounds great!" Marco slid his phone into his pocket and pulled his hoodie over his head. He was silently hoping no one would recognise him. About a block away from Britta's Tacos, he saw a familiar blond haired girl skating down the streets. Jackie. He gulped and walking, as she hadn't noticed him. Marco crossed the street, meeting with her. "Marco! How's it been?" Jackie said, hopping off her board. "Great.. I guess." Jackie frowned. "Something wrong dude? Let me guess.. It has something to do with Star.. You don't have to talk ab-" "No, it will feel good to get some stuff off my chest." Marco said, stopping her before she gave him a lecture about why it was okay. "Okay. But let's get some food, I'm starving." "Heh... Okay."

~

"Wait, so Star almost died?!" Jackie said, face full of shock. "Well, she might have actually died.. But she came back to life in full Mewman form." Marco said softly. "Wow, you guys really did have an adventure this summer. Crazy it's already almost over. You ready for 10th grade?" Jackie asked. "I- guess so.." Marco said scratching his neck. "Dude, something wrong? You haven't touched your taco." Marco looked up to see his uneaten food sitting in from of him. "Honestly, I'm not hungry." Marco said putting his head on the table. Jackie sighed. "You miss her, don't you?" Marco looked at her shocked. "What? No! I'm coming back to Mewni tonight! Its not like I'll never see her again." Marco said, raising some attention. "Don't jinx yourself, Marco. She's a princess. Someday Queen. You will have to let her go one day. If you truly would rather be with her.. I'll accept it. I- I saw you at Mewni. After the party, apparently, Janna and.. Tom was it? Anyways, they got together or something, and them and Star's other strange friends decided to vidt Mewni, and the invited me. And when I saw you and Star, and realised, you guys are meant for each other..." Jackie let out a nervous laugh. "Heck, I have no idea what I'm saying." Marco stared at her, taking in what she had said. It all made since now. Why Jackie was at Mewni, or why she was so chill and okay when he left. Then he realised what she was saying. "Jackie.. Are you.. Breaking up with me?" Jackie smiled. "It's for the best." Marco looked down. His lifelong crush was breaking up with him, and he was okay with it. Being with Jackie just didn't feel right anymore. But couldn't say he felt that way to Star, either. He was confused. After the party.. The battle.. Almost losing her.. He realised how much Star meant to him. As a friend. But everything changed after the kiss. He didn't get it. He didn't understand his feelings. He just wanted everything to go back to the way it was. Star as his best friend, and Jackie as his girlfriend. And then Star changed everything. But he couldn't be mad at her. None of this was her fault. She didn't purposely fall for him, and she didn't know what Toffee truly was planning. Marco wiped his teary eyes and smiled. "Thanks Jackie.. But I have a question." Jackie stood up. "Ask away." "When you said Janna and Tom are together.." Jackie's eyes widened. "Oh! They hate each other! Well, actually, Janna was kinda crushing on him, but she freaked him out. When I said they got together, I meant like, a group. Does that make any since?" Marco laughed. "Kinda..?" And with that, they shared their last laugh as a couple. "Friends?" Jackie said, holding out her hand. "Friends." Marco said, shaking her hand.

As Marco walked through the portal back to Mewni, he started thinking about things. His thoughts were soon interrupted by a distressed Star. "Star? Is something wrong?" He said, trying to comfort the girl. "I- uh.. I can't do it!" Star said, running behind him. He turned to see Star hiding behind her Mother, alongside River. "Is something the matter?" Marco asked in confusion. Moon sighed. "Unfortunately a lot of stuff just came up, and its very dangerous. For your safety, were sending you back to Earth." Marcos expression became dull. "Your a great fighter, but this is very extreme magic we are dealing with." River added. "We also must take your scissors from you Marco, I'm truly sorry. We talked to Heckapoo about it, and although you did earn them, we have to cut off all gateways to Earth. Now that the monsters have found Earth, we must do our best to protect it from any threat. In other words, Marco, this will probably be your last time on Mewni." Marco was silent. He turned to see a crying Star behind Moon. "Star- I" Was all he could manage before the Mewman crashed into him and started to ball. He wrapped his arms around her, but was holding back tears in the process. She ended the embrace and looked at him through teary eyes. "Mom? Dad? Can I have a moment alone with Marco?" The two left the room, leaving Star and Marco. "I'm.. Sorry Marco.. I-I" She couldn't finish her sentence before another wave of tears hit her. "Star, it's okay. I son care what your parents say, whether it's a year, month, decade, I promise you, this is not our last moments together. I swear my life on it." Star smiled and hugged him tightly. "Thank you Marco.. Your the greatest friend I've ever had!" Marco smiled softly. "Te amo, Estrella." Marco whispered into her ear. He kissed her cheek before ending the embrace. Star placed her hand on her cheek, her face a bit red. "What does Te amo mean?" Star asked innocently. "Heh.. You'll figure it out someday.." Star smiled. "I'll never forget you Marco." "I won't forget you either." Star sighed. "Goodbye, Marco.." Marcos expression softened. Was this really happening? Was he really saying goodbye to Star forever? No, and he gave his word for it. It just.. felt so quick.. Too quick. "Goodbye Star..." She gave him one last hug before pulling out scissors and opening a portal. See you in the future, Star." She gave him a sad smile, and waved at him one last time. "You to." He walked through and the portal closed behind him. Star dropped to the floor and started balling. Moon walked in along with River, to comfort their daughter. River helped Star to her room, while Moon made her way to the court yard. "It was foolish of you to do that Moon. She will be broken forever now. You know how it feels to have someone close taken from you. Imagine how Star feels right now?" A voice echoed. "Shut it Eclipsa. You never even met her. Just be glad I haven't locked you up yet." Moon snapped. "Oh Moon darling. You don't get it." Eclipsa laughed, before disappearing once and for all. Moon sighed and looked down at her hands. She slid off her gloves, revealing her purple veins. "I don't know what your planning Eclipsa, but I'm not having any of it."

Marco sat on his bed, alone, and quiet. He locked himself in his room the whole night, but he couldn't sleep. He couldn't keep his mind off Star. He was completely in love with her. But now she's gone. He has no way of reaching out to her, nothing left of her, nothing. She's gone. And if he ever did see her again, it would be far to late. He sighed and glanced at a photo of him and Star. He smiled, and picked it up. "I'll find you Star.. Even if I costs my life."
