In Dawns universe magic was thought destroyed but came back and Star tried to actually destroy magic five times but it kept coming back.
The only thing which stayed the same is the fact that earth and mewni were cleaved together.

Star and Jackie got married when they were dating for four years and an year later Star made a spell that made it possible for Jackie and Star to have a biological child.
Dawns wand is an bubble blower,her spells are mostly water based,like rainbow waterfall destruction or cuddle bubble massacre.
