Ship hate & co.
Wow. I can't believe I'm making a post about this, but I'm absolutely SICK of people coming into MY house telling me, "My ship is better than your ship!!"
It's disgusting.
So without further ado:
I personally hate Starco (although I used to ship it like crazy). I hate it. A LOT. I have lots of reason to hate it and oh boy don't even get me started—
However, I would never, EVER, start harassing Starco shippers just because they have different opinions than me. And I would NEVER comment on other people's posts about how my OTP (Janstar at the moment) is better than theirs.
I am sick of seeing Starco all over the Internet, but I don't brag about it—instead, I keep my mouth shut and respect the fact that other people like it. I have to deal with it, even though I cringe every time Starco pops out of nowhere on my Tumblr dash or on here. Now speaking from own experience, I'm pretty sure the Starco shippers that have "harassed" me before wouldn't like it either if I commented on THEIR Starco fanart/fanfics/etc, "Yeah this is okay-ish but Janstar is still better XD" or "I hate Starco."
Shipshaming is WRONG and it needs to STOP IMMEDIATELY. Whether it's Starco, Jarco, Tomco, Janstar, Starkie, Startom, Jantom, Tomkie/Jacktom, etc, if you shipshame someone then you're basically dead to me. End of story.
RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S SHIPS.

Thank you for this post- it's super said it needed to be said though. Ship hate is terrible and no one should be shamed for liking something!
You said you hate starco and I got scared because if you saw my starco stuff you would kill me but then I read more and I felt safe again XD

Very true. People that ship hate start making our fandom look bad as well. We don't want to end up like other communities who are always arguing. We have to respect each other's opinions :relieved:
