The Wind Rises; Movie Review

So, I just finished watching The Wind Rises so I'm here to make a movie review on it. SPOILERS AHEAD

Overall, the film was amazing. I got the chance to watch the English Dub so I was able to recognize the voices of Young Jiro (He voices Steven in Steven Universe!) and Honjo (He plays Jim Halpert in the Office!).

The story line is beautiful and the animation is amazing. It's so clear and so smooth and I just love it! The characters swept me away and I found to love a lot of them! Especially Jiro!

Now for some in depth about the characters. At the first scene that Caproni first appeared in, I found myself translating words. Even after Jiro had stated he was a "young japanese boy", I found myself translating Caproni's line of "ragazzo giaponese". Overall, he seems like the great mentor character to Jiro!

Jiro! Overall, I just love him and his enthusiasm on planes! He was an amazing character and I just might cosplay him haha

Honjo was also a very amazing character! No, I'm not biased because he is voiced by John Krasinski. But he seemed like the good friend character for Jiro. He always smacked Jiro back into reality. And his line, "can it, freshman" is something I'll use this year and senior year.

Naoko is a cutie! I love her so much! She also really pretty and I would literally commission her for a painting cause they are that amazing.

Speaking of Naoko, time for Jiro and Naoko's relationship! God it's so cute and it's everything I want in a relationship. The whole plane flying scene was adorable and their love is so cute. They had so much fun in that scene. God their relationship makes me want to cry it's so beautiful! However, with Naoko's condition, that makes me upset cause I just want them to be happy. Everything about them is adorable.

All in all, I loved this movie. I loved the concept of it and the whole movie was beautiful. I loved this movie and if i had to rate it, it would be an 8/10. Why 8? Because Jiro and Naoko's relationship is something I'd never be able to get.
