Hahahah, not really..

He just stole my heart the moment I saw how he treats his daughters and nature...

It must not be easy to care as a single father for two kids and working fulltime at home and at the University, when his beloved wife is in the hospital for a long time.

He also fully lives in Mei's story that there is a forest spirit called Totoro, when Mei cried when she told that she had lost Totoro in the bushes.

To comfort her, he took her to the camphor tree where Totoro would sleep during the day.

So yeah,

for me he is kind of a super 'dad'   ^^♡

Ashitaka! I love his journey in Princess Mononoke and how he always keeps his mind at peace and doesn’t pick a side over the other. He continues to remain level headed and to seek an end to his curse, while helping both San and Lady Eboshi’s people. He’s truly the best! :blush:

Mans just wanted his daughter to be safe, yknow? Even though he's technically the "antagonist", he's just a father trying to look out for his daughter! He never hurts her or sosuke, or anyone else for that matter. Besides, he's just a kooky wizard that is such an adorable nervous mess around Ponyo's mom 🥺

Everyone so far has been saying Howl and I totally agree with them LOL🤣
