Hello everyone, I'm back this time to participate for the #MemberAppreciation2k20

The activity I chose to do was :

"Talk about your favorite Ghibli song, from any movie! Tell us why it's your favorite, etc.."

I sure have plenty of favorite songs from the moview, Joe Hisaishi is such a wonderful composer and seeing one of his ghibli concerts someday would be a life goal for me...

The song I chose to talk about today is A Journey, from the movie The Wind Rises.

I really like this song because it's really contrasting with the topic of war and poverty that associate with most of the movie.

This song gives us a calmer vibe, bringing us back in that special place in the nature, where Jiro and Naoko finally meet again and start falling for each other, like two young naive souls.

The song still brings us back to reality when all the instruments come back together and the rythm speeds, just like the war accelerates and Naoko's health deteriorates.

Finally, I really enjoy the little melody at the end, that reminds us of Naoko, and another song we can hear in the movie, Naoko Meguriai. It reminds me of that final scene where Naoko anf Jiro see each other one last time in that field, and is a nice final touch for the song.

Therefore this song is one of my favorite ghibli songs, as it holds so many feelings to it.

It'd be my dream to someday learn it on the guitar just like the original song, but there's a long road til that happens. :sweat_smile:
