I see people ask like what was in the chest but honestly I've never cared about that much....but the question I do think about I think needs way more answering and it drives me crazy XD
So Rose knew she'd basically die when Steven was born how did she know that? Has this happened before are there actually others like Steven? Where's that arc I want that.
Maybe she could feel her powers leaving or something that could be the most logical answer although that's the less fun one.
And like if Gems are technically genderless why did the whole planet pick female forms? I don't mind or anything but when you think about it it's odd no one picked a male form I get it's probably to make Steven more special but still you think one would pick a male form although I could totally see that being some Diamond law thing about what forms you can take.
Just some things I've thought of whenever I think about the show the first one is the bigger one I want a answer too like I can't be the only one to have thought about this
Edit: so totally forgot when made the just form a body that they probably don't get to pick don't know how I forgot that I just mainly thought about the whole they can shapshift part and thought they picked from the start

Cause Lars exists, and I don't think his physical form changed much other than the fact that he's now connected to lion and therefore partially related to Steven :)

When rose talks about how a gem is "born" she says they pop out of the ground already knowing who they are and what they're meant to do. But then, it's possible for them to rebel too. Hence, imo, it's just that Female is default for them. That's the case for humans too, we all begin developing as female fetuses until one point where if there is the Y chromosome present things change. Basically I think most gems have female forms because that's their default and they would have to meet a male off homeworld to even know there's a difference. Gender is a construct that is alien to them, they could be what we see as masculine but they don't have the word or pronoun for it. Even without knowing some gems like Zircon and Topaz already have more masc forms. They just dont recognize it as that because masc is an alien concept.

But like in the show they say there actually genderless but chose forms that look female I'm just saying it's odd when you think about it every Gen ever made seems to all pick that at least from what we see
