Steven Universe was created by Rebecca Sugar. The show gained popularity back in my high school years. The show premise is about a gem/human hybrid named Steven who uncovers his mother's past with the aid of Garnet, pearl, and amethyst. It started building the world through gem corruption, mystery, and had a lot of redeemed characters. The intent of the show, at least in my eyes, is to show multifaceted characters and how not everyone is one-sided like other shows of the time are.
They have a few character arcs and plot lines they could explore in a show of their own:
The diamond authority (with spinel)
Little homeworld (with bismuth, peridot, and lapis)
Jasper
The crystal gems (garnet, pearl, and amethyst)
Greg Universe (his family and past)
Sadie and her new relationship
Lars with the off colors In space.
Steven/Connie's road trip.
Onion and friends.
