I have an oc and I don’t like his design no matter what I do but I don’t know what I’m doing wrong

I bring you

Core

Before I go into the troubles of trying to figure out his design, here’s some backstory! Because I did not put it in his wiki yet :skull:

He was made wrong (supposed to be a sapphire but came out as a weird ass lookin tall guy with eyes on his hands instead of his face) so had to run away before he was shattered. He crash landed on a planet, one where Angel had happened to get it’s civilization to see him as a god and rules tyrannically until his diamonds send someone to bring him back (spoiler alert: nobody came)

Core and Angel came to a mutual agreement that to survive on this world, Angel’s facade had to be kept up and Core had nowhere to go. Core was made to be an “oracle” and basically became a religious leader.

He hated every bit of it but he did what he needed to

Era three came along, Angel realized what he was doing was wrong, and with their powers combined Core and Angel made a ship with their broken ones’ pieces and flew to earth.

Core now resides at Little Homeworld.

My problem.

I have had this issue since the very beginning.

Small note— Idk how but I mentally switched his eyes from the back of his hands to his palms so that's how it actually is now

I had no idea what to do, so I commissioned Galaxy Spinel to design him with these concepts in mind

Despite not coming out what I had in mind, it definitely made it easier to have an idea of what I wanted

So I redesigned him

Later on, I realized that I STILL didn’t like him

So I requested Spodumene to redesign him

Now, I absolutely love this, but,, it didn’t rlly feel true to his character

But they definitely had a couple points where I was like “I should totally listen to that”

Then I kept trying to redesign him

Again

And again

And again

And I don’t like any of them.

I am losing my fucking mind.

So uh

If anyone had any ideas/suggestions I would love for you to let me know
