Gem Infinity Scarf and Rose Quartz Pin

Loot Crate is a subscription box company that releases themed packages of goodies through several subscription options. The Loot for Her subscription's theme for November 2017 was Steven Universe. So I got one.

This package contains two items: a Gem infinity scarf and a Rose Quartz pin. I'm very excited!

The Rose pin pictures the Rose Quartz Gemstone and Rose's sword with flowers.

This is the kind of fastener it has.

The scarf is pretty special. I've never seen these designs before anywhere else.

The pattern of Gemstones and SU characters repeats at different angles. The material is blue and translucent and feels soft. Its "infinity" style, which means you can't see where it begins or ends while wearing it, allows you to wrap it most likely twice around the neck.

It's a nice subtle Gem design that doesn't look too much like you're a middle-aged lady trying to get away with wearing cartoons at work (like me).

The marketing for this box was pretty quiet and looking on their site yielded no close looks at the items, so I had assumed the scarf probably just had subtle gemstone designs or something. So it was a pleasant surprise that they were so detailed and legit. I love the soft style for them. Check out the closeups!

But what's really unusual and interesting is this depiction of Connie with Rose!

I've seen almost no acknowledgment that their relationship might be worth discussing (and depicting in art!) so this is a really fascinating choice.
