on his hands and knees, panting heavily for the first time in his life he felt the fears of doubt clutching at his mind, his body covered in fresh bruises and cuts from the battle he found himself locked in, the powerful adversaries who stood against him, a Dark neelam ratna who had fused with a black Jadeite together managed to overwhelm him. He gritted his teeth and raised up to just a knee. Fusion, fusion! It was just a shortcut for weak gems to feel better then are. The male thought to himself before suddenly a shadow casted over his body, he looked up, his sisters back facing him. Her fisted balled up and her gaze determined to keep him safe despite her being in equally terrible shape. “It’s okay, Ezekial.” She spoke in a soft tone. “As long as we’re here together, we can win.” She Cringed at how cheesy that sounded before then chuckling. Her words sending his mind into spiral, together… he began ing all the things garnet had taught them in the past, about unity, togetherness and bonding. in the moment he blew it off since he didn’t believe in fusion for the time, without his ego clouding his vision he started to see something. Garnet wasn’t JUST talking about fusion, your bond with the individual is far more important than fusion itself. "Your soulmate is your complement, not your missing piece"this… these words garnet spoke to him rang throughout his mind because it was starting to show him that fusion wasn’t about the "missing piece" to complete oneself, or a desperate technique to get stronger, but rather about ing with someone who enhances and complements one's strengths and weaknesses! All this time Zendaya had been that someone, they had been doing it all along... he began to understand what it really meant as slowly he stood up.

“We’ve always been strongest when we’re together haven’t we?” Ezekiel asked as he finally got onto his feet and stood next to Zendaya, facing the fusion that stood before them. More words playing back in his head. "This is who I am….”

”Because I am a feeling, and I will never end." . Words showings Garnet's sense of self, her belief in the enduring power of her beings, the bond that they share, both as a fusion and individuals. Fusion isn’t just a method of getting stronger… it so much more. It was two people coming to together, bonding and complimenting eachother to become a better version of themselves. A visual representation of mind, chemistry and their bond and so many more things he didn’t know how to put into words. Slowly Zendaya took his hand into her own and intertwined their fingers with a soft smile. “Not just that, we ARE the strongest when we’re together.”

Benitoite, the fusion who had been bruising them up the entire time, She chuckled and gave a slow clap. “I’m touched, such a heartwarming display of unity and trust. I almost want to throw up.” She said she wore a grin seeing them come together to give eachother false hope. “Humans.” She muttered.

Ezekiel ignored the taunt and grinned at Zendaya. "This is who I am….”

Truly In her heart she knew they could overcome anything together, their minds and emotions mixing and syncing their breathing slowed and matched, they leaned closer to one another and touched foreheads. And then….

in a disfigured light their figures seemingly began merging with one another! They were fusing! Benitoite’s eyes widened and she darted forward at blurring speeds trying to stop them, regretting being so arrogant just a moment ago. She had no idea humans could fuse! But it was too late.

TODAY, A NEW FUSION IS BORN!

An eruption of flames, shot up into the stars and began to swirl creating a whirlwind of golden crimson flames! in the eye of the roaring whirlwind of fire their eyes and Gems shining one with a sharp lava orange complimenting the storm, and a purple standing out majestically. In a burst of force in the form of a shockwave the flames dispersed. Did Benitoite land her punch? No. Slowly the fusion slowered Benitoite’s fist. Suddenly they fazed and appeared behind benitoite in a flash of fire, she felt a impact in her nose and a sharp impact in her back that knock her away across the room into a wall. Slowly the fusion held their chin. “Ezekial and Zendaya…” they mumbled, not the most ideal names to try and combined. They grinned and smirked. “Zendaykiel will have to do.” Slowly Zendaykiel turned towards benitoite “I should be thanking you for So idiotically watching us figure ourselves out.” They then raised their fist. Hot flames, cracking and popping around it. “I won’t give the change to live to regret it.” Zendaykiel’s grin became more cocky and sadistic as the combined ego’s and combined chaos began to override the mortals that the crystal gems had them follow individually. “I always wondered how it’d feel to shatter a gem…” they began to slowly walk towards her, shift and fazing from one place to another before fazing right infront of benitoite gazing deep into her eyes. “Luckily I have 2 right infront of me.” Using her ability to manipulate her own vectors she raised her fist and threw a seemingly instantly, the velocity of the punch causing an eruption of the force that shattered the surface beneath them and ripped through the air. Yet again, Zendaykiel was standing behind benitoite. “I want just how hopeless you are to sink in.” They said into her ear.

”SHUT! UP!” Benitoite spun off her heel in a discus elbow, but it only made with a forearm, blocking the strike. In a chaotic sequence of zipping around and clashing she desperately tried to land a punch, kick, slash anything, for zendaykiel they felt like they could see everything in slow motion, their mind absent of unnecessary thoughts and mostly allowed their reflexes and autonomous motion do most the work as they blocked, dodged and dished out playful punches, toying with the opposing fusion. Benitoite was faster there no doubt about that, it’d be almost to impossible to keep up with someone who can control their own vectors, that and the future vision, logically you’d think that benitoite had the upper hand. “I can read you like a book.” Zendaykiel muttered, every twitch, strain and windup allowed zendaykiel to predict and react and as for the future, true benitoite could see many futures but that doesn’t mean that the future she settles to believe or can see is THE future, after all there are so many possibilities. Because of this weakness combined with zendaykiel’s fighting style in which made them nearly unpredictable, loose and easy yet full of energy and Agile. They also used their shorter stature to their advantage, where as when gems fused they got taller meaning their arms and legs and such also got longer; she’d use this against them by invading their personal space, getting close enough to strike comfortably while also giving someone with longer limbs a harder time when trying to land their own strikes. She was all over Benitoite and there was only so much just speed could do for her.

”Die.” Zendaykiel opened their hand in the manner of a claw before shooting their hand through through benitoite’s sternum, her light form shifting and become undone slowly before they ripped out her jadeite, they looked at the gem before quickly closing their hand, flames shooting down during the curl of their fingers adding more pressure and velocity as they crushed the gem. Slowly zendaykiel opened their hand allowing a few pieces to fall out of their palm. “That’s one…” they mumbled…relishing in the feeling, zendaykiel could hear their own heart beating in their ears as they slowly looked over at the now lone neelam ratna aka blue sapphire. Zendaykiel wanted nothing more than to end her but… they held their head and grumbled. This isn’t what garnet would do, but why would they care? With a sigh they came back to a their more reason senses even for just a moment and growled. “You have to the count of 3 to leave my sight.” Zendaykiel said before gazing at the sapphire from between her fingers. “Before I send you to meet your friend.” The sapphire waisted no time in raises to her feet and fleeing the room they were in. It was some kind of lost gem structure and this part of the building resembled a massive observatory.
