School is a big one and sometimes on the weekends I like to spend time with my parents since I don’t get a lot of time with them

WHY YOU WANT TO

I love to see people improve their art and themselves and it makes me happy if I am apart of that. Not only that but I also love to give advice and most of the time people find it useful!

CRITIQUE THE IMAGE:

First of all, that is an awesome drawing! It’s so good!

However there are a few problemos!

Anatomy! :sparkles:

The right arm seems to disappear behind the leg! I’m pretty sure the arm isn’t that short so watch out for those types of things! The torso is extremely small compared to the arms and legs, maybe watch a video on how to get proportions right.

There seems to be 4 fingers at first glance so try to make them more thin so there don’t be any confusion.

They also seem to be leaning back quite a bit almost as if they were to fall! Maybe shift the body forward a bit or extend its right leg to the left more to make it more balanced.

Line art! :sparkles:

The line art seems a bit shaky, if you are using ibisPaint you can turn the stabiliser on to stop that from happening!

There also seems to be places where the lines are meant to connect but don’t. Make sure when you’re drawing to double check everything is ed up!

Colours! :sparkles:

The colours are very nice though the background has the same colours and the shoes and it just blends everything. I recommend choosing colours from the opposite side of the colour wheel so that your character can stand out!

The light colours seem to have a very grey tone to then and blends them even more with the background. Maybe try to brighten them up. You also seem to keep switching from blended colours to solid colours at times. I recommend sticking to one for the whole picture instead of just the shoes and wristband having some blending.

Shading! :sparkles:

Although there is shading you can’t really see it so maybe try a darker colour for the shading.

Also the shading seems a bit random so try working on that more ( but I’m no one to talk ).

There also seems to be a lack of lighting so maybe add a few lighter patches from where the source of light is coming from just to give the picture a bit more depth!
