Welcome to the SWA Inktober 2019 Official Announcement! Woohoo!

Time to get spooky.

What is Inktober?

The event takes place during the month of October. The event will officially begin on October 1st. Every day, there will be a prompt/theme for you guys to use. Then, you make art of it! It's that simple! This is NOT a contest, this is a fun event to help you improve and give you ideas and inspiration to get drawing!

How Do I Participate?

You make art!

Yes, I know.

You can pick which days and themes to follow, so you can participate at your own convenience. You also don't have to post each art bdividually. If you want to spend the entire month drawing and then post all your pieces at the end of the month, that's fine too. Also, artists of ANY skill level are encouraged to participate! As I said before, this is an event designed to help you improve and grow as an artist.

If you really want to participate but find joy in other things besides art, you can participate with a short fanfic, OC, photo edit, and more! Anyone and everyone is encouraged to participate!

As far as themes go, you can create something (anything!) that has something to do with that theme. For example, if the theme was dogs, you could draw a picture of dogs playing, your dog, a new breed or mix, puppies, and anything else you could possibly imagine that could relate to dogs. Draw whatever makes you happy (and relates to the theme)!

Now, to the good stuff.

Every week of the month, we here at the Event Team will bring you a blog with the themes for that week to save you the scrolling. So that means:

Day 1. Anger

Day 2. Revenge

Day 3. Non-human

Day 4. Bittersweet

Day 5. Victory

Day 6. Defeat

Day 7. Comical

If you want your art to be seen, be sure to include the hashtag #SWAInktober2019!

Rules!

• As with any event, keep all entries within the [Guidelines] and PG-13!

• If your art is a little dark (while still being within the guidelines of course), please put a warning!

In case you missed it, include the hashtag #SWAInktober2019 in your entries!

• Have fun!

• This event is about improving, so be sure to give yourself a pat on the back when you finish a theme. :)

I am very excited to enter this Bute I have three question one what is the character we are Drawing for inktober two what is the Hashtag I use got this challenge and my final question is what is inktober art work I have never heard of it

You can pick the character you draw. In fact, you dont even have to draw a character! You can draw whatever comes to mind when you think of the Theme. The hashtag is in the blog, #SWAInktober2019. Inktober is where every day in the month of October you have a theme, and you draw something that relates to the theme. You don't have to make a drawing every day if you don't want to. The challenge is for improvement and helping get people drawing and inspiring ideas.

Do you have to finish a theme on one single day?

Not exactly. You don't have to do every theme, or even post them on that day. Considering you are allowed to post them all at the end of the month and skip around with themes, I'd say you don't have to.
