Can't argue your opinion, but other than Alec Guiness, ANH feels way less authentic- or fake, you could say. Obviously it was a 70s movie and the first of the whole series, but I can't find the same enjoyment in it as I can with the rest of the OT or the books written in the 90s beginning to really flesh out the universe.

Still love the movie, as with pretty much every film, but better than the other two? I don't really think it's a fair comparison.

I personally love RotJ due to the beautiful and diverse set pieces, it's contrast in tone as you continue through the film, and a level of emotion that I felt wasn't quite reached in ANH or ESB.

It probably also helps that I'm a huge fan of the criminal side of SW so I probably enjoy the beginning on Tatooine more than others.

Objectively- or as objectively I feel you can be in a matter based completely on opinion, I feel it makes sense to call ESB the best of the OT.

RotJ still my favorite though.

I agree with the end, I think that, when reviewing them critically, ESB is the best. But when it comes to my personal interests ROTJ is the best.

I've since re-watched Return Of The Jedi and have developed a new appreciation for it.
