What is GDPR?

Hi #Starfam! This is my very first blog post and I'm here to share some new stuff about the GDPR law.

This blog answers questions like:

- What is GDPR?

- When is it coming and why?

- Will it affect me and what shall I do?

Please note: I am NOT a "pro" when it comes to this topic, I just want to share what we know so far, and show other people what to do etc. If some info is wrong, don't throw hate at me, we're all humans.

"Eum? What is GDPR"

I think you know about it already, but yesterday the new "GDPR law" came to Europe. GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. But it is not as complicated as it sounds. At least not for us Star Stable Online players!

GDPR is all about your data, who uses it, and why. The European Union wants to make sure that every single person has more control over their data. So this is a good change for us all!

Because of this law, the Star Stable team is making changes to their privacy policies. Those changes are for all players, not only the European players. But only the European players will have to accept it before playing.

As I wrote, this law will

not only affect European players.

If you're not a European player, you will not get asked to review the new rules. BUT, the policies will still be changed!

Note:

Star stable does not care which server you are on when asking you to review those policies. Even tho my main Star Stable is on a Swedish server I have an on Night Star also. But the website can still see which country I'm in, and I had to review the policies even tho that is on Night Star. So if you are like me, and by that I mean having s on other countries server, you'll still have to review the policies if you live in Europe.

And How do I review the new and policies?

When you log on to your on sso's website, in the online game or in one of the apps, you'll be asked to read the new rules. It's really simple and I'm going to show you what it looks like now!

First this thing will pop up. Just read the text so you know what to do. Then press that you accept the rules (read them first obviously). I also clicked that I wanted offers sent to me via email.

If you are under a certain age you also have to submit one of your parents or an adult who takes care of you's email.

They'll receive an email where they need to your . And then you're done. This whole thing very self explanatory so you will most likely understand what they want you to do. When your all done this will pop up:
