After I had mucked Moon’s stall, I carefully put the shovel back on its hook. I then walked back to Moon’s stall, and put on her personalized leather halter.
I lead Moon out to the wash stall to tack up. As I was walking Moon out of her stall, I turned my head slightly to look around the beautiful barn. I looked around for the wash stall and then found it. I carefully clipped the metal cross ties to Moon’s halter. She shook her head energetically. I then swung the lead rope over her neck, and then walked over to my tack trunk.
Luckily, my tack trunk is right by the wash stall. I carefully opened the wooden doors, and grabbed a brush, and a hoof pick. I then walked back to Moon, and began to brush her. I gently moved the soft bristled brush across her black and white coat, as all of the dust and dirt flew into the air. I then took the hoof pick, and picked all of the mud out of her feet. I then walked back to my tack trunk, and put the brush and hoof pick away.
I grabbed a red pro saddle pad, that was meant for Eventing. Usually I would do Eventing, but today we would just be doing a simple flat work ride. I grabbed some protective boots, and then set the saddle pad on my saddle rack, and the boots on the ground. I walked back to my tack trunk, and got my black Eventing saddle. I carried it over and set it on the saddle rack. One more thing: Bridle.
I grabbed my bridle off the hook in my tack trunk, and put it on a hook in the wash stall. I then slid the red saddle pad onto Moon’s nicely shaped back, and the positioned it in the right spot. I then grabbed my saddle and set it on Moon’s back. I then tightened her girth on both sides, and then put her protective boots on. I then got my helmet from my tack trunk and put that on. I put Moon’s bridle on, and then lead her out of the barn.
I got on Moon, and then started walking her to the arena. Just as I was walking out, I heard the voice of a teenage boy, and his horse.
