Editor’s Note- Hey everyone! It’s our first edition, and we’re all super pumped! I would like to note that you shouldn’t read this if you get scared very easily. Also, it may contain some spoilers of quests. Now, without further ado, let’s jump in to the myth. Enjoy!

"It's late at night, past 12:00, and even as you toss and turn, trying to get comfortable in bed, you just can't get to sleep. Naturally, you decide to finish up some much-delayed training on Star Stable. Logging on, you notice that your volume is up. The picture on the game screen comes into focus as you reach to turn off the volume. But... a sound makes you freeze in place. It was a small,... faint noise.. but it was definitely there... it seemed like sobbing?! Was someone crying in the Silverglade Castle?..."

Hey #starfam! Have you heard about the rumor that if you log on by the Silverglade Castle past midnight you can hear someone crying? Yes, no, maybe so? Well, we're here to explain (and maybe crack?) that myth! So let's jump into it!

THEORY ONE

Is someone else trapped inside the castle?

When we were around level 11 or 12 we get a quest and find out someone is trapped in the Silverglade Castle. That someone turns out to be Linda. She was locked in the castle doors by the Baroness to keep her from spilling the beans about her and Mr. Sands. Although we did find Linda by opening the main entrance, a majority (actually, it’s all if I’m correct) of the doors in the castle are still locked! If we back to the quest line, the Baroness actually THREATENS us, telling us the following:

"What happens in the castle is none of your business. You should keep your little worries to yourself, or else something unfortunate may happen to you, too." ~Baroness

What is happening here? The closed/locked doors inside the castle? The baroness's threat? The fact that she's trapped someone up there once before? This leads us to think.... maybe someone else is trapped inside the castle doors? But if so, who and why?

THEORY TWO

Does it have something to do with the primeval tree?

When we take a look at the exterior and interior of the Castle, you may notice a repeating symbol- a tree. Or, more specifically, a primeval tree known as "The Sleeping Widow". Now, the trees in the symbol found on the Castle have leaves. The Sleeping Widow doesn’t have leaves. Do you why that is? If we back to the story line, the sleeping widow once had a life-partner tree which was, unfortunately, cut down. Our quest line says that the Sleeping Widow lost her will to live, therefore that's why she is bare, BUT it also says,

AND THIS IS THE GOODIES;

"During the centuries that have ed since the Primeval Tree's lonely, her wailing has sometimes been heard on the wind. A wailing much like a persistent howl..."

Could a part of the Primeval tree be in that Castle? Or... could a part of her lost companion be trapped behind one of the locked doors? What do you think, could this be our answer?

THEORY THREE

A bug or glitch? Perhaps a new quest?

This theory isn't too exciting but it is a possibility! We all how Linda was locked in the castle by the baroness at levels 11 or 12. It is possible that SSO added the crying in when the quest was released, but forgot to take it away. Maybe it's still around for those who haven't reached the quest yet. If it is a bug or glitch though, it's a wide spread one and it surprises me why sso hasn't deleted it yet since it's so well known! Also, it’s mysterious how it is only at night....

We also found that someone commented on a YouTube video about this, claiming she asked SSO HQ what was going on with the sobbing noises. Apparently, star stable responded with:

"There's lots of new stuff coming out...shh... it's a secret"

We did SSO HQ ourselves but so far we haven't gotten any response. We'll keep you updated though! (If they reply, we’ll write it in the comments). So, do you think it could be a new quest...?
