A/N: I was so excited to do this writing prompt when I saw it cause I love writing in first person and this prompt gave me so many ideas and seeing as I'm currently neck deep in love with FFXV, WOOOO BOY :disappointed_relieved: :ok_hand: It goes a little off of the challenge but I hope it still counts   Bonus points if you pick up whose POV I'm writing this in straight away

~☆~

I walked into the small apartment complex after the business I had in the palace with the king and, to my expected dismay, see the place in shambles.

One would think that this would be my own mess but that's quite the contrary. In fact, the little Prince would be to blame for this.

I sighed to myself, quietly slipping my shoes off and walking into the living room where, as expected, the culprit of this catastrophe was asleep.

Anyone who knew me would know that I quite like having a nice, clean home. But because the Prince is under my care, I constantly come home to this disaster. Would it kill him to clean up even a little? He's not a baby anymore!

As I made my way around the mess, I set my suitcase down onto the chair in the kitchen and began my usual cleaning.

Our Prince here must have had a pleasant day today with Prompto. They left all these dishes and cup noodle containers laying about on the table. I'll have to have a word with Prompto about this. The least he could do was convince Noct to clean up after themselves.

After clearing up the table, I began washing the dishes.

... Will he even wake up?

The nerve he has! An early start is a healthy start, yet this boy constantly sleeps in late, lazing around and doesn't seem to care. He'll be king one day and I will see to it that he becomes a great king.

And the first step to this is to get him to get up and eat dinner and review the notes from the meetings at the palace. And then tomorrow morning, wake up early!!

... As if he would.

A motion from the couch catches my eye as I swiftly finished washing up. Had he finally woken up? Seems so.

"Did you enjoy your nap, Noct?"

Only a groan could be heard from his mouth.

"Have you finished your homework and reviewed the meeting notes from yesterday?"

"Mmhm..." he answered, rubbing his eyes.

"I figured you didn't so I w--" I stopped.

"You did?" Genuine surprise could be heard from my voice.

"Yes, mother." The sarcasm in his voice was strong as he rolled his eyes.

"I'm going to bed." He got up and was about to leave when I quickly moved in front of him. Folding my arms in front of me, I looked him in the eyes.

"Then tell me what the meeting was about yesterday." He raised an eyebrow and looked at me with a slight scowl on his lips. There's no way he read the entire thing. Noct tends to not care when it comes to the meetings in the palace.

There isn't a chance I would believe his white lie though.

But to my abhorrent surprise, he began to recite the entire meeting in detail as I had written it. My eyes widened and I was frozen in place as he finished reciting it.

"... I suppose the sun will rise from the west tomorrow." The words slip from my mouth. Noctis laughs.

"Goodnight Ignis." He brushes past me and headed into his room.

"Huh." I contemplated to myself.

"Now if only I could get him to wake up early and help with breakfast."

"Not a chance." His voice rang through from his room.

I sighed.

Still the laziest Prince I know.
