KH3 Sora Cosplay {Keyblade}

Hi guys!

So I have been working on a Kingdom Hearts 3 Sora cosplay and I thought I'd share that journey with you!

Making props is my favourite part of cosplay so I really wanted to begin our journey with the keyblade Sora has in the first Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer. I've been calling this Keyblade "Starlight" because it reminds of the first keyblade in Kingdom Hearts: Union Cross x

I want to add this blog to the #HowToCosplay Challenge as it does work as a tutorial. If you do want to us this as a tutorial to making a keyblade feel free to drop me a message if you need help!

~ Materials ~

☆"Starlight" template,

☆Foam floor tiles,

☆wooden rod,

☆ glue,

☆Resin,

☆Pleather,

~ Tools and Equipment ~

☆Photoshop,

☆Craft knife,

☆Rotary tool,

☆Sandpaper,

[C]So I have been working on a Kingdom Hearts 3 Sora cosplay and I thought I'd share

Using the template I cut out the parts in foam.

Glued the parts together with a wooden rod inbetween them.

Then transferred the design onto the foam.

To shape the parts I cut most of the unneeded foam off with a knife and then sand the rest.

Now for the rest...

I used different sanding bits to fit in smaller parts

Get your cat to approve your work!

Glued pleather to the handle

Then finished the handle with these rings made with off cut foam.

Keep sanding...

I added resin to the stars.

I messed up here... The ring at the end of the key needed to be thicker so I cut it off.

New thicker ring

Sanding done and all parts glued to it

Used this gummy foam stuff to fix any mistakes.

Prime the Keyblade in black

and keep painting

Finished Prop

Hey Gazzi, how old is Sora supposed to be in KH3, and is Haley Joel Osment still voicing him?

Its been so long since I played Kingdom hearts. Still a little messed up about dream drop distance.

Hi Joe, what do you know? ^^

As far as I am aware Haley Joel Osment will be returning as Sora for KH3. ^^ As for Sora's age I think he is the same age he was in KH2 but I'm not entirely sure on that ^^ So 16?

I am so hyped for this game!! We've been waiting a crazy long time for this XD I hope you play it and enjoy it :D
