Final Fantasy Party Poll: Final Fantasy 2

Firion:

Firion is considered the main character and leader of our constantly changing party. He's a fellow orphan along with Maria, Leon and childhood friend Guy. Due to this game being unique and letting the main party be one entire class but limiting them to certain weapons Firion has gotten the "warrior" class and can use swords. He can also learn/use whatever spell you dump on him.

Maria:

Maria is main female lead of Final Fantasy 2 and sister to Leon. She is friends with fellow orphans Guy and Firion. Her stats aren't the best for direct fighting so she is given the bow weapons and she has high agility and magic power/defense. As with Firion you can dump whatever spells you want on her but she'll have more power to her spells.

Guy:

Guy is your stereotypical "big guy, big heart but not so strong with grammer" type of person. He's the childhood friend of Firion and friends with fellow orphans Leon and Maria. As you would think with his high physical stats he can wield axes. But his mental/magical stats are fairly lacking. But even so he can still learn spells and have them become powerful through the use of the broken "stat leveling" system in the original release.

Thus concludes the section of the "permanent" party . Now we get to the party that are added in and later removed. We will be going in the order in which we have then to our party.

Minwu:

Minwu is the royal mage of the Wild Rose rebellion. He has powerful magic stats but his main focus is healing magic. He is added to your party during the search for mythril. After you find the mythril he leaves the party to return to Princess Hilde's court. But leaves shortly after to find the Ultima tome which is the most powerful spell in the game. He finds it and then waits for the party to arrive. Unfortunately in order to receive the tome he must use all of his power and sacrifice himself in order to remove the barrier around the tome.

Josef:

Josef is known for his high unarmed stats and is usually considered a "monk" as a class. Josef starts off more than a bit cold towards the party . But when you rescue his daughter he opens up to you. He was originally a soldier of the Palamecian empire but left. He s your party when you look for the goddess bell. When you find the bell and are about the leave the cave in which you found it, you are confronted by Borghen who is the Final Fantasy 2 version of Heidegger. When you defeat Borghen he triggers a trapped boulder which is stopped by Josef. Josef tells the party to step aside and escape while he holds the boulder at the cost of his life. As the party makes their escape he then stops holding the boulder and let's it kill him. Despite being the second party member added he is the first to die

Gordon:

Gordon is considered a coward at the start of the game but he manages to become a noteworthy hero and he overcomes his cowardice. He is given the spear class of weapons similar to a Dragoon but he has lower health than previous characters but he is an overall balanced character. He is also trying to win the affection of Princess Hilde along with his brother Scott.

Lelia:

Lelia is one of those types of characters that s your party after you defeat her. Much like Yuffie but you don't need to guess the right phrases to say to her in order to get her to you. She tries to steal your items and equipment but you defeat her so she s your party. After you progress through the story she willingly becomes one of the Wild Rose leaders. Her attack is low but her agility is the highest in the game. She also comes with the spell Thunder IV which is incredibly useful at that point in the game.

Ricard:

Ricard uses the lance weapons but unlike Gordon, he's a real Dragoon and the last one as well. Due to him being in Levianthan's stomach while searching for the Ultima tome he is oblivious to the massacre of the Dragoons and their wyverns. After meeting with his best friend's widow and son he vows to stop the empire and spend his life with her. But that dream gets cut short after they kill the Emperor and he comes back to life. He takes on the Undead Emperor in order to let the party escape but he is easily slain.

Leon:

Last but certainly "not hated" by the game characters. Leon is separated from the main party after the initial battle which you must lose. Sometime after that he became the Emperor's Dark Knight and caused chaos. He has much higher stats than the party unless the party has heavily grinded or has exploited the broken battle system. He s your party after you kill the Emperor and when the Emperor comes back to life in a demonic form. After you beat the game Leon says he has to leave the party because of the crimes he has caused. Maria tries to stop him but Leon says he's welcome to come back when he's ready
