Ruby is the mother of the team, though she tends to ger herself and others with her in trouble with her. She is a big sister when around Sapphire and Moonstone and sometimes teases and flrits with Dian, before she was single.

Her past life with the Octarian Army was harsh and very cruel and shd used to be in a relationship with a female Octarian (she's bisexual), until she found out that her ex was just faking it to string her along and make sure she keeps in line. After Ruby learned about the truth, she, Sapphire and Moonstone ran away in the dead of night and made it into Inkopolis, whefe they now currently live.
