This Needs To Stop...

Hello everyone, AwesomeMan here, and I've been thinking about Splatoon lately... I've been thinking, that Splatoon is getting less and less fun. Why? The reason is us, yes, you heard me right, the Splatoon community. I'm getting serious now, and here are the reasons why Splatoon is just getting less fun, and why the community is just getting worse.

Before you read this please know this is my opinion about this so you may not agree with me for everything

The Save Scummers

Oh yes, in my opinion, Save Scumming is just making the Splatoon game worse, mainly because of a lot of people doing it. Trust me, you have met a lot of Save Scummers, whether it's in a Ranked Battle of even turf, these people are everywhere. Some say they have really good luck with Spyke, which I highly doubt, people with mixed abilities or just have some 3 sub slots of 3 of the same abilities in a row, I believe, say for instance, on my headgear, I have 1 Ink Saver Main and 3 subs of Ink Saver Sub, I didn't save scum that, it took me around 20-30 tries to get this one piece, my other gear is just mixed abilities, you know why? I don't want to save scum my gear just to look cool in a Ranked Battle, I just wanna earn my gear, I go into Turf War everyday and just grind and level up gear. If I don't get what I want, I'll just roll with Spyke, if I run out of Super Sea Snails, that's fine, I'll just spend coins. Seriously, please just stop save scumming, it just makes you look cool with your perfectly good rolled gear, while others are just earning those abilities via Turf War. This has been a huge thing I'm thinking about everyday when I play Splatoon, every match there is that one guy who just hacks his gear, and I think "This game won't be fun if people can just get perfect gear that easy" If you don't believe me that I'm not save scumming, that's your call, if you want proof that I don't save scum? Look below. How can someone get perfect rolled gear for EVERY piece of their gear? The only possible explanation is save scumming, and this is just not fun to play with a guy who save scums their gear, that just proves that Splatoon will just get boring if you just get gear, earn those abilities, if you don't get what you like, roll them, over and over.

Squids Parties/Squid Baggers

Oh my god, it's these kinds of things that just makes me infuriated with Splatoon players, first of all,et me start with Squid Parties, I know I know, a lot of you are gonna say "Oh, Squid Parties are great and you are just a guy that's ruins them" and your right, I do ruin them, because you know why? They have no purpose in Splatoon at all! In Turf War, the main goal is to ink turf, not just to party in one place while other people are inking turf, your just saying that you don't care about the objective, while other players do, and if your a person that does these, please know that it's pointless. I don't mind doing it in Private Battles, because you and your friends are just having fun.Ranked Squid Parties, are just so annoying, people who do that in Ranked or Squad are just now being idiots, you will be the reason you lose points, you will be the reason your squad loses, all because you wanted a little squid party. Now, onto Squid Baggers, oh my god... If you don't know what Squid Bagging is, it's where you continuaslly switch between a kid and a squid rapidly. A lot of people do this, trust me, in every lobby, there is that one squid bagger, if someone splats me and they squid bag, I think "Really dude? Listen, nothing good comes out if you squid bag, it will just get you killed." Squid bagging can just stop because it's not cool and it's just pointless.

Drama

Oh boy, here we go with a topic everyone has been talking about, drama. Alright, if drama is happening in your clan chat or just a chat, ignore it. If you get included in the Drama, you will just be removed or banned from Amino for a while, because Drama is something that Splatoon players do not tolerate, at all. In the Splatoon community, we all have that one public chat or private chat where someone starts the drama, and here are some main reasons:

-They just want to get attention

-Or they don't respect someone's opinion about a Splatoon related topic

-Probably because they wanna get reported

-They do that for fun

I'll be honest, that last one is kinda true, a lot of drama is just for fun, they think it's just a bit a drama, but a bit of drama turns into a full out war between people, are you guys are the bystanders. Stand up for yourself and tell someone about this situation, and they are gonna take care of it.

Bullies/Suicide

Now, this is something I'm seeing from Splatoon players, suicide and suicidal posts. Bullying is bad enough in the real world, but to do this on an app where everyone has something in common? Not cool, not cool at all. For all the bullies on Amino right now, leave, you have no right to bully other players just for your entertainment. A lot of people are thinking about suicide because of bullies, or they might have been ignored or something of the sort, but you know that people are here for your issues, I bet a lot of people from here was thinking about it, but they got the help they needed, and they are back to their normal selves, but please, don't be a bystander, stand up for your friends, because one day, they are going to help you.

Clans

No, clans aren't making Splatoon worse, what goes on in the clan is. If you haven't read my "How to keep a clan alive" post, read it, it's informational, plus you can use those tips for when you run a clan. Anyways, I've seen a lot of clans dispanding, and you know why?

-They aren't getting

- aren't active

Also, it's hard running a clan this late into Amino, because everyone has their own clan, and they made friends, running a clan will be hard if your gonna do it right now, if you do, make a post about and let it take some time, after you make a post, it's not gonna be that easy, because a lot of people won't suddenly your public chat saying "I wanna " because clans don't form right away, give it some time and by the time you know it, your clan will be successful. But then, later on, the clan will eventually die. As in, no one will be that active as they were before when they first ed the clan, the leader is being extremely inactive, and drama, shippings, and memes are gonna be invading your clan chat. Quite frankly, I have been in that situation, sure, some of my public clan chats are just we joke around, but then, someone says something to offend a person, even though they didn't mean it. So it just turns into a full war, just because of a joke going wrong, and believe me, I had a lot of jokes going wrong, which leads me to my next point.

Jokes/Memes/Ships

Alright, I seen this happen many times before, and let's start with jokes. These things are just harmless, but, one wrong joke and there goes your friendship. If you say something rude or racist, and you didn't even know, someone will tell you "Hey that's not cool you just offended this person tell them your sorry" and then your gonna be like "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know I offended you, please forgive me" or you can be that person that does it on purpose, you will just be kicked from that chat or get reported, or both. Then we move on to memes. These things are going to consume the whole Splatoon Amino, because all I see in chats are pictures of memes, and in my perspective, there are no good funny memes, they are just pictures with a caption, like I said for squid bagging, there is no point. Ships are just completely useless, they have no point, just to make some pointless fake relationships, seriously, Splatoon Amino is not a dating app, it's a place where we can talk everything Splatoon. I see ships everyday, and I think "What has Splatoon Amino become..." Please, don't start any ships, unless you want attention if you make it a blog.

I think that does it. Just please, stop what I just listed, to make it better for the greater good of Splatoon Amino.
