This is Nomad! Today is the annual Splat Force Announcement Blog, only this time I'm doing things a little differently than usual.

As some of you may or may not know, these are yearly blogs I do about stories I'm working on within the Splat Force universe. However, this year I decided to not just discuss the stories, but also talk about Splat Force in its current state and where it could go.

So without further ado, let's get into this!

Before we get started, I just want to thank you all for everything! I know I sound like a broken record by thanking you all again, and again, and again, but how else could I show my appreciation for the love and that you all have continuously shown me throughout the past few years?

You all have helped me through thick and thin, through cold and through warmth, some of you have even become great friends of mine, and to those individuals, I love you all and I hope you'll put up with me for the time being.

(provided a certain of you don't simp for another one of my characters, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!)

As things stand right now: Splat Force is here to stay and I'm so excited to be able to move into the future of this universe with you all by my side!

So without further ado, let's begin the announcements!

A W H O L E N E W W O R L D

As you know, Splat Force III: Bolton's Reign ended with Alyssa sacrificing herself to mix the gifted cure into her energy to send it all around the world, curing the gifted, meaning that the gifted are no longer going to be a huge factor in future Splat Force stories. However, its presence will be felt greatly.

Last week's Chapter was not just the end of Splat Force III: Bolton's Reign, but it was also the end of the first big story arc in Splat Force, the key word being: "first". I'm happy to announce that more story arcs from within the universe will arrive, in time.

So without further ado, let's get into the first story in this new era of Splat Force!

R E D E M P T I O N : A S P L A T F O R C E S T O R Y

Coming this October is the newest Splat Force spin-off series: Redemption: A Splat Force Story! Oh boy, I know for sure that this one is going to be a treat!

After Bolton: A Splat Force Story came out last year, and somehow pulled off a mature age rating, I decided that it would be cool to pull it off, yet again, only this time everything is doubled down tenfold!

I'm not going to go too much in-depth about it, due to some reveals I'm planning to do of it much later down the line, but this story will be my first attempt at a Comedy based story, specifically a Dark Comedy. You must be thinking: "Nomad, are you really going to make a Comedy after the tragedy that was last week's finale?" Absolutely!

I'm gonna keep the synopsis very brief, but here it is:

After the death of Bolton Vulcan, the lack of a worldwide dictator left an empty gap, motivating parties around the world to try and take his place. On the other side of the globe, a massive war has broken out between the Acid Squids and the Shark Kingdom. To prevent the next big war, the R.A.I.C plans to despatch former gifted criminals to fight back, using technology-based replicas of their gifts. The mission will be brutal, and many will fall, but those who live will finally find Redemption...

You all must be confused by the cover for the story, you're probably wondering who is in all of the seventeen photos. You'll find out around the beginning of October. Some faces you may or may not recognize from past stories, others are completely new characters. Either way, DO NOT get attached to any of them, trust me, your heart will be torn out if you do.

Next year will contain two stories, as per usual, however, they will both be spin-off stories and not fully main stories.

I'm not gonna share too much about them, so I'll keep it very brief. The first one I'm planning on releasing sometime in March and will focus on a character that you all have met in Splat Force III: Bolton's Reign. My main goal of the story is to flesh out the character after the events of the previous story and to solidify their place in Splat Force history.

The second of the two stories is an anthology-based series where each Chapter is its own unique story. The idea is to have a different kind of sub-genre for each Chapter (for example one might be a war story, the next could be a romance, the one after a horror, then a tragedy, then an apocalypse story, etc). This story will be loosely Canon: the stories are based on events in the Splat Force universe but they are not set within the main continuity, meaning that some things may or may not be different from what you already know in each Chapter. The planned release for this one is around the beginning of September next year, so be on the lookout until then!

Now, seeing that two spin-off stories are coming next year instead of the usual main story and then spin-off routine, you might be wondering about a certain story. To answer you all, we shall now move on to the next, more important section:

S P L A T F O R C E I V . . . ?

Splat Force IV is a tricky subject for me. Don't get me wrong, I love working on this universe, especially during this year's story, but to be honest I don't think I'm ready to take on a full-length Splat Force story again, at least not just yet...

These next few years are going to put my personal life to the test, as I'll be going further into College, meaning lots and lots of work, that and come March next year, I'll be an Adult. Within these next few years, I need to start thinking about jobs (which I already have covered, for now), Money (which I also have somewhat covered as I nearly have £500 to my name), and also potential rent and other Adult things for when I inevitability move out into my own home, that is a lot of shit to go through.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still have time to write, whether it be Splat Force or other things, but I don't think I can commit to another 20 - 25 weekly , at least until I'm fully recharged and ready.

If I do go through with Splat Force IV, I already have somewhat of an idea of what to do with it, and where I would go, but at the moment, I'm putting it on the shelf for now. In next year's announcement blog, I'll give you all the confirmation on whether or not I'm doing it.

C H A R A C T E R W I K I S

Like last year, I'm planning on making new/updating old characters wikis for the cast of Splat Force. The updates will be for those involved in Splat Force III: Bolton's Reign as they hadn't been updated since the story started. In addition, I do plan on actually doing the description/biography for each of them instead of leaving them for the rest of time.

O N E - S H O T S T O R I E S

The last announcement that I wish to make is that I'm planning on making One-Shot stories from within the Splat Force universe!

I'm no stranger to One-Shots, as not only have I done a few in the past, my entry to both the Collab contest and Splatober (both 2020), but I've also done a few outside of Splatoon (such as a few old Marvel ones from 2019 or my Avatar ones from last year).

Unlike the One-Shots I've done in the past, these stories WILL be Canon to the Splat Force universe and will each focus on a different time frame, one might be from the Gifted Wars, another might be from Bolton's reign.

So far, I only have a few noted down that I'm fully planning on doing. Here they are:
