The customization in Splatoon 3

Since everyone else is mainly focused on story/battle features in splatoon 3, I may as well go over the customization options.

It seems when you first enter the game you will be greeted with the option to choose your style, thats right, gender is eliminated in Splatoon 3. And because of this hairstyles/leggings will not be limited to a specific gender no longer 🥳

You are then prompted to select your character's skin tone, which there is a few more skin selections to select from which is really nice :)

Then you get to select your eye color. I'm not quite sure whats going on with the last 3 eye colors since I believe the top left of the color represents the pupil, if it does then that could mean you could change your inkling/octoling's eyes and make them very unique which would seem really cool. I really like that they add a slight color of outline to the iris, it really adds the detail to the eyes themselves.

Now here is what I'm most excited about for the customization, the hairstyles! According to what we have so far, it looks like there's going to be 8 new hairstyles in Splatoon 3. 4 for the inklings and 4 for the octolings. I'll go through them all.

1st one is obviously the new hairstyle that they've featured throughout this trailer, and its one of my favorites. This type of hairstyle I've always wanted ever since splatoon 1 came out and now I finally have a braid to use on my inkling 🥰🥰🥰 10/10 rating i love it :grin:

Here's the 2nd one, I dont really like it as much but I still think it looks cool! + extra points for the banana haircut. 8/10

I absolutely LOVE the fringey look of this hairstyle, it looks insanely good and I just love how it's so unique compared to all the other hairstyles. 9/10

Ahem- um, what- well, if this is the type of hairstyle you like then go for it but uhhhh... 2/10

Now for the octolings!

this hairstyle reminds me a lot of willy wonka lmao, I'm not necessarily a fan of it since I've never really have liked these types of hairstyles, but still nice nonetheless, a nice upgrade from the classic mohawk octoling boy hairstyle from splatoon 2! 8/10

In all honesty I dont really know what to think about this hairstyle, it just looks like CQ cucumber sitting on top of an octoling's head, still a decent hairstyle, 7/10

OMG THIS BEAUTY :heart_eyes: :heart_eyes: :heart_eyes: I dont normally play as octoling girls since I really just dont like them that much but this hairstyle ALONE has made me want to play them again, its so fancy and cute omgnfhewbbrhehehw 1000/10

A really solid long hairstyle that isn't as shitty as the fat og octoling girl hairstyle. I really like it and it gives really nice cool vibes :sunglasses: 9/10

OH AND AS IF THIS COULD GET ANY BETTER you can customize your little buddy's hairstyle as well! I haven't seen all the options so I cant really tell for sure but I think I like the 2nd one the best 🥰
