This is Nomad! I hope all is well today! After a two week hiatus and one intermission, I'm finally back with a new Chapter of Splat Force V: Final Frontier!
We have officially reached the second half of the story! Things are only going to get more and more exciting as we march towards the end together!
The previous Chapter ended with our team taking their first steps into the multiverse with them beginning what could be their final mission. Time is of the essence, and the team must obtain as many allies as possible.
So without further ado, let's get into this!

Inkopolis City was entirely unrecognisable. The vehicles were flying, the buildings were pointier and brighter, even during the day, and the water levels were up to just below the land. The sky was bright, yet grey and cloudy. It appeared as if Malefor wasn't after this reality just yet.
All around the city were explosions and gunfire. The flying cars blew up in the sky, with the remains of it tumbling to the ground below, endangering anyone who stood below it.
Around the city, high-tech armoured battles were going off. One side were delinquents and muggers all masked and equipped with laser blasters and hologram swords, with some having metal limbs and marks showing off.
The other side were heroes all sporting the same robotic suit and design. The whole body from head to toe was covered in iron amour, with the only thing popping out was hair, and even then that was the case for those with long hair. They all had laser blasters, grenades, and always stuck together. At the center of the chest area was the Splat Force logo.
Meanwhile, in a dusty allyway across the city, three blue cloud portals appeared from nowhere. Coming out of each of them were Magnus, Samantha, and Platinum. The moment they landed, the nanotech suit around them dissolved back into their uni-jump watches.
The team all looked around them. They quickly realized that they were what they thought was the same city. Magnus was the first to notice the grey sky.
"Looks like Malefor hasn't reached this earth yet."
"Yeah..."
Shauna replied, holding her right arm timidly.
"I-I just can't believe that actually worked!"
"Yeah, same!"
Samantha coined in as she looked around herself.
"I'm guessing we're in Inkopolis, right?"
Magnus gave Samantha and unsure hand gesture.
"Maybe."
He replied before turning back to the front of the allyway and running towards it.
"Stay behind me!"
The trio all ran to the end of the allyway. Just before reaching the street, Magnus stopped, holding up his clenched right fist to signal to them to stop as well. He then leaned against the left wall, slowly peeping his out to see the street. It all seemed quiet at first, until...
S L A M ! ! !
The rubble from one of the cars above crashed onto the road ahead, making all three of them jump. Seconds later, one of the geared up delinquents, what looked to be an Octoling with sand-colored hair and an exposed metallic mouth wearing in a beige armour, landed on the ruined car.
Only a second later, one of the of this universe's Splat Force landed before him. His head was completely covered, and his suit was red. Upon seeing the Splat Force member, the delinquent activated the electric whips that were attached to his arm.
The delinquent threw one whip at the Splat Force member, who quickly dodged and fired three laser blasts at him, hitting him right in the chest before throwing a grenade.
P E W , P E W , P E W ! ! !
B O O M ! ! !
The delinquent was out for the count, being sent flying back onto the road below. The trio watching from the allyway were all stunned. They could use someone like that.
"I'm goin' in."
Magnus whispered to them. Upon getting their nod of approval, he prepared his Portal Projectile gadget on his right wrist. Once turned on, two buttons appeared, one to the safe place where The Beholder held them, and the other saying home. Magnus pressed the former option, making his gadget glow for a couple of seconds, alerting the Splat Force member ahead of him.
Just before anything could escalate, a micro hexagon chip was shot out of the gadget, landing on the armour of the hero and instantly consuming him in a blue cloud. Seconds later, the Splat Force member vanished entirely.
"Well... that's number one."
Magnus whispered to himself before looking back at the team.
"Let's move out!"
S L A M , S L AM ! ! !
All of a sudden, more cars began falling from the sky and onto the streets, all on fire and destroyed, making the whole team jolt before quickly taking action.
"Come on, let's find cover!"
Magnus instructed before he and the others ran onto the road. They ran down the road for a good minute, avoiding more falling cars until they found a good cover spot in the form of a bank entrance.
The entrance was small. It had a pleasant green and red striped carpet and aquamarine sofas on each side. The walls were a pale pink and on them were metallic high-quality screens with holographic information about the place. Opposite the front door was a wooden counter and walls with doors to the left and write of it.
The team all panted as they successfully avoided death.
"That was rough..."
Shauna uttered, holding one hand on her chest as she panted non stop.
"What's the plan?"
Samantha felt her head get a little fuzzy, though she quickly walked it off.
"I think we just- ARGH!"
She grunted. All of a sudden, Samantha began having a massive migraine. Moments later, she saw visions play in her mind, no, memories that she had in her mind, yet none of them were her own.
The memories were of her in a terrible road accident. Her stomach had been cut open, and she was missing her index finger and was now lying in a pool of her own blood. The next memory that flashed was of her on an operation table. Test tubes were inserted all over her body. The next one, she was screaming in agony, still in the same medical bed as syrum is shot into her body. In the final few seconds of the memories, she was looking into the mirror, looking back at her was a Splat Force team member wearing full purple gear as well as her long purple hair coming out from the back in locks.
At last, the memories and the migraine had ended. By now, Samantha had been leaning on the front counter, both hands clenched against it tightly as both Magnus and Shauna tried to comfort her.
Samantha panted for a few seconds before getting herself together.
"It's okay, I'm fine now!"
She assured them.
"DON'T MOVE!"
A deep voice called out from the front door. The three of them all jolted and turned around. All of them saw the same woman that was in Samantha's visions, thought neither Magnus nor Shauna would know.
"Squit..."
Samantha whispered to herself before she too turned around, now facing her alternate self.
The Samantha Stewart of Earth 4,246 was left completely stunned. She slowly lowered her weapon.
"This is not possible..."
She whispered out loud. After continuously staring at what she thought to be a clone of herself, she proceeded to get aggressive once again.
"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!"
"It's a long story... but I don't have the time for this right now."
Samantha told her before firing a Portal Projectile at her, sending her to the safe place as well. Upon spending a couple of silent seconds processing what had just happened, Samantha glanced at Magnus.
"This is going to sound crazy, but what if we split up for a bit? We need as many allies as possible, right? If we split up, we'll be able to gain more."
"Hmm..."
Magnus thought to himself for a moment. Rex instructed them to stick together, yet Samantha had a strong point. It was hard for him to come to a decision about it.
"We can't be too long. Fifteen minutes, tops, then we're meetin' here. Sounds good?"
Shauna nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine with that!"
Magnus gave them both a thumbs up before heading to the front door.
"Alright then, see you guys in fifteen!"

Both Emily and Vincent had found themselves in a world that at first glance looked almost identical to the Inkopolis that they knew, even down to the purple sky, but upon further notice, the pair of them had found a large white building on the outskirts of the city close to the sea.
The building had a huge staircase leading up to it, and at the very center was a statue of what looked like this universe's Vincent Fisk. The duo walked up to the statue, with Vincent reading out the text that had been written on it.
"In dedication to our founder, Vincent Fisk, a man who saved and shaped the lives of millions of gifted beings around the world."
He read out.
At the very bottom of the statue were two dates, signalling the start and end of his life.
'October 3rd, 1974 - May 26th, 2046'
"Huh..."
Vincent muttered to himself.
"I guess I now know when I'll die, assuming I don't today."
Emily was too distracted by the building ahead of her.
"Gifted Hospiral Center?"
She whispered, reading the sign on the top of the building outloud.
"I don't think this existed in our world."
"Well, that's the multiverse for you."
Vincent replied as the pair of them began heading up the stairs.
"Looks like this version of me was always okay with the gifted."
Upon heading inside, Vincent's theory was immediately proven to be correct. Even in just the waiting room, there were photos of him from decades ago helping Gifted patients manage and control their gifts, alongside several of his co-workers, one of whom being a man that made Emily instantly look away.
Eventually, the pair of them had reached an open white hallway before turning left and heading into an open door. On the otherside of the door was one of the many recovery rooms. Resting in the bed on his own and hooked up to tubes was a very pale Inkling with blue slit-back hair. He was skinny and looked to be in a coma. Both of his arms were fully stretched out and behind held on different tables.
"Wow, okay then..."
Emily whispered to herself as she took a close look at the patient. After a couple of seconds, she turned back to Vincent, who even looked stunned himself.
"Did you know that guy?"
Vincent nodded.
"Carson Drummond. One of the many former gifted beings who served in the fight between the Shark Kingdom and the Acid Squids."
He answered.
"He had aids, but it wasn't what killed him."
"How did he die?"
"He was eaten alive by one of the sharks."
"Oh... that's rough."
She replied quietly. All of sudden, the comatosed Carson began fidgeting and rolling around. His heartbeat picked up, getting faster and faster by the second.
"Oh squit, what's happening?!"
Moments later, one of the doctors burst into the room.
"Right on time!"
He exclaimed. His voice was deep and had that crispiness to it that only resonated with one person. Emily turned to her left and felt a great sense of dread when Cyrus Zagan walked into the room.
Time felt like it moved slowly for Emily, who was stood frozen in place, eyes wide. He had the hair, the lab coat, the missing eye, he had it all. Following Cyrus into the room was his assistant. He had a robotic left arm, long grey hair, and wore a grey body suit, it was Zane Miller, except he wasn't the possessed Project ZM.
As the doctor and the apprentice reached the bedside, Cyrus gave Zane the thumbs up.
"Neutralize him, I'll speak to these guests."
He told him before turning and walking to Emily and Vincent, the former of which had gone completely pale.
"Nice to meet the pair of you! I'm Cyrus Zagan, I'm Mr. Drummond's doctor."
It was then that Cyrus offered his hand to Emily. She just stared at it before staring back into his eyes. All she could hear where the dozens of gunshots that she had fired into the Cyrus of her world, followed by his evil laugh and haunting final breath. Her heartbeat was skyrocketing. She felt as if she were about to have a panic attack.
It was then that without even thinking about it, she tapped her uni-jump watched, selecting the random button and activating her suit before leaving the universe through the portal, stunning both Cyrus and even Vincent.
"Oh no..."
Vincent whispered to himself, knowing full well that Emily was no just gone. He had no idea where she was now.
Curious as to what happened to Emily, Cyrus turned his attention to his former boss, thought he didn't know it just it.
"What just happened?"
"O-Oh, t-that's... her gift. She can teleport out of places. I-I helped her make a suit that helped her control it."
Vincent said, thinking on the spot.
"Really?"
Cyrus asked.
"She didn't have white pupils."
"O-Oh... that's a side effect of another one her gifts... she can change how her pupils look."
He explained, once again thinking on the spot.
"I see..."
Cyrus replied. He then took a closer look at Vincent, taking a couple of steps closer and locking eyes with him.
"You know, you kinda look like-"
S L A M ! ! !
All of a sudden, a large slam was heard, followed by a massive earthquake. Both men got onto the ground and held on to one of the surrounding furniture. After a couple of minutes, the earthquake had come to an end.
Vincent instantly got up and ran out of the room, running down the hallway and into the waiting room. He could already tell that something was wrong. Everyone was looking out of the window at something. Vincent tried looking out of the window too, but he couldn't see anything.
Running out of the exit and looking straight at the sea, Vincent saw it. It was the same structure from the visions that The Beholder had shown him about Malefor. He was here.
"Oh no, no, no!"
Vincent whispered to himself. Without a second thought, he activated his uni-jump watch, pressing the random button before being covered up by his nanotech suit and leaving this universe behind.

'Welcome to Inkopolis Village!'
A sign read at the front of the village, greeting anyone who journeyed there.
Both Rex and Platinum entered a small town in the middle of a desert. The houses were all made from rich dark wood, and everyone was dressed up in smart leather clothes like a cowboy.
"Dad... are we in a cowboy movie or something?"
"Looks like it."
Rex replied as he tried looking around for an area to crash at for the meantime.
"I gotta be honest, I did not think that my first world would be the wild west."
"Fitting for someone as ancient as you, eh?"
Platinum joked, nudging her father's right arm.
Rex chuckled.
"Hey!"
He whispered back before hearing the sound of cheering come from the building to the left of them. Rex looked up at the sign above.
"Dry Paint Oasis. Great name."
The father-daughter duo headed inside and was greated to an active bar. The residents were all wearing almost matching clothes, mostly consisting of brown leather jackets over flannel shirts of different colors. Some of the residents there even had cowboy hats. Everyone was either drinking, socialising, or watching the band play with their banjos, bongos, and veronicas
Seeing the way everyone was dressed, and then looking down at her own Splat Force gear, Platinum leaned in closely to her father, whispering in his ear.
"Yeah, we totally don't stand out at all."
"Mmm."
Rex hummed back.
"At least they all seem to be focused on drinks and that band over there."
All of a sudden, the pair of them were approched by a cowboy. He wore similar clothes to what the other men were wearing except his flannel shirt was purple, and he had a mini badge on the left side of his jacket. In addition, he had a fully grown out goatee and long braided hair, both purple.
"Oi, oi! What buisnee de' ye' be havin' over at these parts, huh?!"
The cowboy asked.
Platinum, slightly intimidated by the man's overly serious tone of voice, looked up at her father, expecting him to say something in response. Thankfully, he did.
"We're travelers. We've come looking for allies for a coming conflict. I don't suppose you would know anyone around these parts that can help?"
The cowboy took two heavy stomps towards Rex. Everyone in the bar stopped what they were doing to watch them. Even as the cowboy got closer, Rex never backed down. He stood his ground and stared down the cowboy. Upon closer inspection, there was something familiar about this cowboy, he just couldn't put his finger on it.
After a very long and dragged out stare-off, the cowboy began laughing loudly, making every men and women in the bar laugh as well. Trying to blend in, both Rex and Platinum began awkwardly laughing as well. Eventually, the cowboy calmed himself.
"Well, ye can always ask me for help!"
He said with a warm smile on his face before offering a handshake.
"Sheriff Watson, at ye surface!"
That name, it hit Rex instantly. Of course, he took the Sheriff's hand and shook it.
"Peter?"
"No! Me name is Pedro!"
Sheriff Watson clarified. Rex rolled his eyes, but he went with it. After the handshake, Sheriff Watson pointed to a woman behind the bar, wearing her very own cowgirl costume. She had long black hair with green highlights wrapped into a bun.
"That lass over there, that's me daughter, Bluey."
"Oi, oi!"
Bluey Watson called out from the bar.
"She's adopted, if ye can't tell by our races."
Sheriff Watson said jokingly.
"I see..."
Rex replied, eyes locked on this universe's Blue Watson.
B A N G , B A N G ! ! !
All of a sudden, gunshots were heard coming from outside, alerting everyone in the pub. Sheriff Watson frowned.
"Oh no, it's him!"
He exclaimed before he and everyone else ran out.
Rex and Platinum followed everyone out to see a lone cowboy standing at the front entrance, gun in the air. It was a man in his middle ages. He wore a grey cowboy hat and had a scar on his left eye. He wore black leather boots with sharp stones coming out of them. He wore a grey scarf around neck, alongside a brown leather jacket and brown flannel tros.
"I see ye found yerself some new allies!"
The lone cowboy spat out.
"Shooter Pertch! I thought ye'd never return!"
Sheriff Watson exclaimed.
"Pertch? Why does that name sound familiar?"
Platinum quietly asked her father.
Rex was experiencing one of his episodes of him blankly staring at the opponent, mouth slightly open. He looked exhausted. He sighed.
"Terrador..."
"I have come for ye gold! My village of Baxter grows hungry for more gold!"
Shooter Pertch told the Sheriff.
The Sheriff rolled his eyes, groaning loudly.
"This is the fifth time this week, ye greedy bastard!"
Platinum suddenly chimed in.
"This guy steals from you?"
"Platinum..."
Rex whispered to her, trying to make sure she didn't do anything stupid, but she either didn't hear or chose to ignore him.
"This poor excuse of a man comes here so often to steal our previous goods!"
Sheriff Watson explained.
"Many of our finest men on the Splat Crew have tried to fight 'em, but they always get shot in the chest and die!"
Rex squinted his eyes.
"Splat Crew?"
"Founded by the great Frederickson Evans and T-Rex Allenmagous."
The Sheriff answered.
Platinum chuckled and looked back at her Dad.
"T-Rex?"
She giggled. It was then that she thought of an idea.
"Excuse me for a second."
It was then that Platinum began walking towards Shooter Pertch, alerting her father.
"Platinum?! What are you doing?!"
She glanced back at him as she walked.
"Don't worry! I know what I'm doing!"
She called back. After a few seconds, she was standing face to face with Shooter Pertch.
"I challenge you to a shoot off."
"Oh no..."
Rex exclaimed to himself, holding his head in her hands before looking back at his daughter.
"Don't do this!"
After a few seconds of processing Platinum's proposal, Shooter Petch started laughing.
"Why, yer only a wee girl! I can't fight ye!"
"Why? Afraid you'll lose?"
Platinum snickered.
Her snarky comment awakened a deep anger within the shooter. He held his right hand on the gun, signalling the start of the shoot off. Sheriff Watson began taking the residents off of the streets.
"Move everyone! A shoot off is amongst us!"
All of the residents were pulled to either the building on the left or the right, with Rex still outside the bar.
Platinum! Come on now!"
Platinum didn't listen. She stood her ground and stared down the man, who in her own reality, caused trouble for both of her parents. Platinum's hand was on her Splattershot, whilst Shooter Pertch's was on his revolver.
They stared each other down, tension building by the second. Literally any moment, either one of them could wind up dead. Both of their hearts beated quickly, until eventually, both shooters made their move.
B A N G ! ! !
B A N G ! ! !
They both fired at the exact same time, their respective bullets hitting both of their chests, causing them both to fall down. Seeing his daughter fall, Rex went pale.
"PLATINUM!"
He screamed before jumping over the fence and running to her. He kneeled next to her and held her tightly.
"Platinum?! Platinum!"
Giggling to herself, Platinum moved her clenched hand away from her chest. There was no blood or any type of damage. She then opened his right hand, showing off the bullet.
"The quirks of having a kelvar suit, am I right?"
"Oh, Platinum!"
Rex quietly exclaimed before embracing his daughter tightly. Everyone in the village saw that she was alive and started cheering for her victory.
After a few minutes, all the festivities began to settle down, everyone was dancing around the street, celebrating. Children were running up to Platinum to play and dance with her, which of course made her very smiley and giggly. She looked up at her father, who stood at the front door of the pub by the stairs leading up to it, he smiled at her and gave her an approving nod before heading inside.
After entering the bar, he was greeted by the Sheriff and his daughter.
"That daughter of yers is wicked cool! I bet she must've learned so much from ye, huh?"
Rex chuckled, putting his hands on his hips and shaking his head lightly.
"She takes more from her mother, I'd say."
"Ooo, a mother?"
Sheriff Watson said, sounding interested to know about her.
"Is she a fine lass too?"
Rex smiled.
"Yeah, she was..."
He whispered back, going silent for a couple of seconds before finally getting to do what he was here to do in the first place.
"As I was saying earlier, I need your help. A threat is coming, one that could wipe out my world, and yours too."
"Yer world?"
"It's a long story, but I need all the help that I could get, and with you being the Sheriff of this nice town, I think you'd make a great addition to the army we're building"
Rex said in persuasion.
"So... how does that sound?"
Bluey raised her hand.
"Can I come too?!"
Rex smiled and nodded.
"Sure thing! You got everything you need? Both of you?"
Rex asked to which both of them nodded.
"Good, now hold still."
It was then that Rex activated his Portal Projectile gadget and fired it at both Pedro and Bluey Watson, the former of which looked at the mini gadget and then back at Rex.
"What did ye-"
Sheriff Watson was cut off by the portal taking both him and his daughter away.
Rex let out a sigh of relief now that everything on this Earth had been taken care of. Right as he was about to leave, he quickly took notice of two paintings on the right wall, both being of the two leaders of the Splat Crew, this universe's version of both him and Frederick Evans.
Below them was the date of their death, something that made Rex feel strange. He had a feeling he'd be traveling to worlds where he was either dead or non-existent, but seeing it that soon was a shook. After processing it for a minute, he left the bar to go and regroup with Platinum so they could continue their multiversal adventure.
B A C K O N E A R T H 4 2 4 6
Doing as they planned to, Magnus, Samantha, and Platinum all went around the futuristic city of Inkopolis, scouting the city for great heroes to their cause. Samantha was quick to find the remaining Splat Force , each wearing the colors of brown, blue, green, pink, and white. She fired her Portal Projectile at them, sending them to The Beholder's safe place.
Meanwhile, Magnus had stumbled across the police force, all of whom were fighting the good fight. They all wore high-tech blue suits and had face shields with police badges on them. Pouching from a building and trying not to be seen, Magnus fired Portal Projectiles at each of them, putting them into their respective portals and taking them to the safe place.
Over by the city docks, Shauna hit in the corner until the fight between delinquents and this universe's R.A.I.C concluded. All of the R.A.I.C troops wore a navy green mechanical outfit and had their badges of honor melted engraved onto the suit.
The moment that the fight concluded, all thirty troops were up for the taking. She super jumped into the middle and slid on her knees.
"Sorry about this, but your help is needed!"
She called out as she started spinning around on the spot, firing Portal Projectiles in every direction until all of them had vanished.
Eventually, the fifteen minutes they agreed one had come to . They all met back in the bank. Samantha was the first to speak.
"I managed to get about eleven. What about you two?"
"I got ninteen or somethin'."
He answered before turning to Shauna.
"What about you?"
"Thirty-seven."
"Wha-"
Magnus gasped in shock.
"How did you even-"
"The first seven were vigilantes, and the final thirty were R.A.I.C troops."
She answered with a smug smile.
Magnus gave her and impressed nod.
"That's... really damn impressive."
Samantha nodded quickly as well.
"Yeah, good job."
"Thanks."
Shauna said with a giggle.
"I have an idea, but I'm not too sure if either of you two are going to approve very much."
"Okay?"
Magnus said, turning his whole body to the right of him so he was now facing her directly.
"I'm listenin'."
"What if we all, you know... split up? It's been fifteen minutes and we've only managed to cover sixty-five, which is an impressive amount, don't get me wrong."
Shauna said to them before getting to the point.
"But imagine all we could do if we jump to different universes and find even more allies that way? We'd save a squit ton of time, and we'd get more variety in our army."
"It's also risky. We don't know what we could be steppin' into."
Magnus replied, unsure about Shauna's plan. He glanced at Samantha to the left of him.
"What do you think?"
"I agree wirh the risky part... but at the same time, Shauna has a point."
She replied, letting her stance known to them.
"If we just stick together and go one universe at a time, we could be wasting more and more time when there's other worlds that we might never see."
Magnus nodded slowly before letting out a small sigh.
"Alright, I guess we know what we gotta be doin' then."
"Yeah..."
Shauna replied before touching her uni-jump watch.
"I guess I'll be seeing you two later?"
Both Magnus and Samantha started touching their watches as well until they were prepared to make their own respective jump.
"Hopefully."
Magnus replied before pressing the random button, generating a random number of a designated world. Samantha and Shauna did the same. The moment it selected a number, the nanotech suit was activated.
"See you in a bit!"
One by one, Magnus, Samantha, and then Shauna vanished completely, each splitting off and going their own way. For Samantha and Shauna, they would start off by going to more calmer worlds, but for Magnus, he would be going to somewhere more dangerous.
E A R T H 1 1 0 9
As the blue cloud portal opened, Magnus came crashing onto the ground at the top of a dark maroon mountain seemingly in the middle of the Splatlands.
"Ugh... ow..."
He groaned, the nanotech suit deactivating as he rolled onto his back and stared up at the dark purple sky. It looked like it was night time in this world.
After about a minute, Magnus slowly started to get back up, stretching his back after standing up fully.
"That's better."
He gasped in relief as he finished his stretching. After a small moment, he looked around himself to try and find something to go to. His front view was nothing but the mountains and the wasteland, but right behind him was where things got interesting.
Magnus turned around and was intrigued to see a black fortress in the distance. The fortress seemed to have multiple floors and had pipes filled with fire coming down each corner to give it light.
"Giant castle... alright then."
Magnus whispered to himself before going into his swim form and super jumping, completely unaware of the chaos that unfolded on the bridge in front of it.
Connecting the fortress to a steep hill was a white and black bridge. The floor had white and grey tiles whilst the roof was fully black and held together by white bars, however some of the bars were getting damaged by all the fighting that was going on.
On the bridge, the shadow creatures were causing chaos. There we three fighters on that bridge with them. The first of the fighters was a speedster who ran up to two of them from behind and bashed their heads against one another. Although for them, it was not even a blink of an eye, for the speedster, it was as if time had completely slowed down.
Once those two were out of the picture, the speedster ran to another one of his allies, a telepathic woman who was levitating and pushing them back with all of her force.
"Looking good, Melissa!"
The Speedster complimented before running in a circle briefly and then up to another shadow creature and wacking it in the face with a fully charged punch.
"Not too bad yourself, Damain!"
Melissa Sabrina replied before launching a good chunk of the shadow creatures off of the bridge.
Damain Batson chuckled and then stopped to gloat about it, brushing his left hand through his grey afro before crossing his arms together.
"These suckas picked the wrong group to fu-"
S L A M ! ! !
Distracted by making his little snarky comment, Damian was back slapped by one of the shadow creatures and sent flying towards the edge of the bridge.
"Argh! Dammit!"
He groaned, holding the back of his head tightly, feeling a small bit blood, but it wasn't enough to cause any real damage. It was then that he looked forward and saw the same shadow creature coming towards him.
"Oh no..."
W H O O S H ! ! !
Just as the shadow creature was about to reach the dark-skinned Octoling, a flamethrower from behind the shadow creature was unleashed. The sheer heat of the fire made the shadow creature flinch and stumbled to the edge of the bridge before the flamethrower weared out. Seconds later, a singular, yet strong fireball was launched towards the shadow creature, successfully sending it over the edge.
After watching the creature fall, Damain look back in front of him and saw a figure standing in the smoke. The figure took a couple of steps forward, revealing himself to him. He was a young Inkling man with a side curl red hair. At the top of his hair was a white streak.
"Looks like I came just in time, huh?"
He said, smirking at Damian as he approached him and offered his right hand.
Damian laughed for a moment before taking his hand.
"Always coming in clutch, Drift."
Drift Evans smirked before looking around him. Some of the shadow creatures had retreated and left the bridge from which they came from.
"I doubt they're gone for good."
He said to Damain as Melissa regrouped with them.
"We should head inside and cool off."
"Mm-hmm."
Damian hummed.
"Yeah, and wait for the big guy to show up!"
With that being said, Drift, Melissa, and Damian all stated walking towards the fortress, unaware of the offworld visitor that was waiting for them on the inside...
