Merry Christmas! | +2023 Updates

M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S ! ! !

This is Nomad! I hope you all are doing well today! I just thought that I'd hope in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Usual I don't get to post on Christmas day, as I'm usually occupied with the finales of Splat Force spin off stories (like I was with Cosmo and Bolton in the prior years), but I managed to finish Redemption last week, so I have that off my mind completely, but I will also be posting the first of the bonus content for it later today, so stay tuned for that! (my first time doing two posts in one day, btw)

Now, as we all know, Christmas is a time for love and charity, a time for family and friends. So, I want you to do me a favour and hug the people you love most, show them how you really feel instead of just saying it. Actions speak louder then words!

Now, with that being said, I'm gonna move on to the next segment, something more related to Splatoon, kinda...

I have big plans for Splat Force in 2023. After all of the bonus content for Redemption is done, Splat Force as a whole will be entering a soft reboot.

Now, I feel that this will raise some questions, so I'm just gonna say this: I'm not restarting Splat Force, I could never do that. I've poured so much of my heart and soul into these stories just to throw them away like nothing. Instead, 2023 will be the start of what I like to call Phase 2 of Splat Force.

The stories from 2020 - 2022 are all Phase 1, the original story arc. Now, in the new year, there will be a new Splat Force arc (something teased at the end of Redemption, but I won't say because of spoilers).

The best and most important part of this soft reboot is that you don't need to have read previous stories in order to understand this new wave. Yes, previous will be referenced (duh), but these new stories will not have to rely on the foundation of what came before, instead creating something new.

Now, Splat Force has only been formatted in main line stories (20 Chapters) and spin off stories (10 Chapters) that's how it's always been. This year will be the introduction to one-shot stories, something I talked about in the announcement blog back in August.

These short stories will be taking place in the world of Splat Force (in both past and present) and are accessible to anyone who wishes to read. I do hope you enjoy them when they come out!

The first one-shot will be released a week after the bonus content for Redemption ends. For that story, I'm gonna take you back to the past, back to where everything started, back to the young, innocent minds of two destined Commanders, so stay tuned for that!
