Moving Forward...

Greetings.

If you haven't been here in a while or are new to this community, Hello. I'm Cosmosapiens, the new agent (leader) of this amino.

(I don't know if i deserve to say this but) I "inherited" what i consider once a bustling community that has a handful of that are staying here. I'm not blaming anyone nor expressing disappointment. But i felt a desire to grow this community again to a place where it used to be.

How am i exactly going to do that?

Like many other communities, i see tens of new people ing our community everyday.

The issue is they see a relatively inactive community that doesn't really maintain their interest. This isn't because the posts we make are bad. In the exact opposite, I'm very proud of what people are doing here and im not over exaggerating.

In my view, were only acting as individuals. To put it simply, "I only post things that i made, i wondered, i knew and thought." and this applies to everyone. These things are great.

But what we lack as a community is things that we made, we wondered, we knew and thought about.

Basically, member-to-member interactions. From small things like public chats and comments to bigger things like challenges/contests and collaboration projects. There are plenty of things that we're missing out here!

Now we understand what we're missing, but how are we going to do that?

From what I've seen during a short six months, i believe we can grow this community by working together. Even i am very introverted but I'm leading this idea!

So what do we do?

I'm planning to do exactly what i wrote on the segment above. Both inside and outside of our community. All you need is just a little bit more collaborations.

So, here is my plan;

1. Internal Activities

-Challenges/Contests: Right, some of you might've noticed there ARE some challenges that are already going on. But no one's participating isn't it? This isn't going to do. What we need is new ones.

So, I'm not going to make a contest that no one really cares about except myself.

-Collaboration projects: These can be started by me or voluntarily by you. I'll be making a few just to see how big of an effect it'll have.

To throw out some examples,

:milky_way: Our new look: Since we are "renovating" things, Your help is greatly appreciated in making our own looks! You can make new Banners, Welcome messages, Post categories and also Participate in updating our guidelines!

🪐Our Solar system: Make any form of art, each member representing one or more of the planets. This can be digital art, paintings or even poetries or music pieces! This doesn't have to be just the solar system, it could be other or your own star system!

:black_nib: Our Story: Make a space story, with different segments written by different ! Express your creativity into words that might make a touching story.

:camera: The Path we Paved: Share an image or art representing the history of space travel. Sputnik, Yuri Gagarin, Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, the ISS, Viking Probes, Venera, Pioneer, Voyager, New Horizons, Cassini, Juno, Hubble, JWST and much more!

⚛The Path we Pave: Collaborate on our own fictional space programs! Set our goal, develop our spacecrafts and systems and pave our path towards the stars! Let's land a man on Mars in our own way!

We can also reward participants with titles. We have that feature for a reason.

2. External Activities

We don't necessarily have to keep things to ourselves, why not also work with other communities?

I'm planning to get other communities to promote us with us returning the favour.

This will only be done when the collab projects above have been done since new need a reason to in the first place.

Potential Candidates would be Aviation and Flying amino, mostly dead but we can help eachother. You can suggest more as well.

I will talk with the leaders once this is figured out, and you can check out these aminos while they check out ours!

Do i HAVE to do this?

No.

I'm not forcing you to do anything nor willing to do so because i believe in human rights. These activities are only done voluntarily to aid the entire community. So if you wish to keep things to your own, no one is against it.

And if you're willing to help me and our community, please share your ideas in the comments. I will make further posts to comment on other things. It's clear this wouldn't be easy and will take a lot of time. So patience and persistence is key.
