Melva lives a fairly ordinary lifestyle, she goes to a public school, gets good grades, and works at a small cafe to earn some money. She lives with her parents in a small house near a reef. She spends most of her time at home reading, sometimes trying to work on a novel of her own, she hasn’t found anything that sticks with her just yet.

Melva is very sociable and loves to talk with people, she’s very good at keeping conversations, and will always listen on what her piers have to say.

Since her parents are mostly away at work, her days at home seem long and lonesome, so being able to be around people is always a treat for her.

She often keeps her opinions and feelings towards others to herself, for fear of being judged. So while she loves being in the comfort of others, it also gives her a bit of anxiety.

She has a strong desire to show physical affection, but because of the highly toxic film that covers her body, she could put people at risk if they weren’t wearing proper coverage.

So while she has no skill in fighting, anyone who touches her bare skin will be left paralyzed for 24 hours, the poison spreads quickly in the body, so the victim will need an antidote within 12 of hours of before the poison begins to dissolve their tissue.

While her slime does give her some defence against anyone stupid enough to sock her, she used to wish she didn’t have it so she could be more close to her friends. That is, until she met Pigment.

They had accidentally bumped into each other on the first day of school. Melva profusely apologized and began panicking. Her big frilly ears had touched his bare skin, and he’d for sure been poisoned!

But no, he just stood there, unharmed, chuckling softly from her behaviour.

“Wh- how are you not paralyzed?? What is this?”

“Eh, slugs don’t really hurt me that much” he shrugged before heading on his way.

She stood there in confusion and a bit of awe before she could think straight again.

“This has been the only one b-besides my relatives that hasn’t been affected my my poison! Who is that?”

Suddenly, she began to get a strange feeling, this might be the only chance she’d get to be with someone, and they wouldn’t have the boundary that was her toxic skin!

And…she did find him a handsome…but just a little.

“Hey, wait!”

“Hm?”

“I…I didn’t get your name.”

“Ohhh, it’s Pigment, nice bumping into ya, you’re kinda funny”

“Oh uh, t-thanks I- I really hope to get to know you this year, m-maybe we could be friends”

“Sounds cool”
